With the emergence of Apple Watch support recently, there may not be as strong of a desire or need for the Pokemon GO Plus, but those not willing the shell out hundreds of dollars for the smart watch will find what they need here.

1 Pokken Tournament ($54.99)

The arrival of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon cast an all-consuming shadows of sorts, which makes sense given the anticipation gamers have had for another pair of core entries in the RPG series. One game that has been set aside from the limelight as a result (at least somewhat) is the Pokemon-only fighting game, Pokken Tournament, for the Nintendo Wii U.

Despite a roster that lacks combatants, the game itself has been making headlines recently thanks to the addition of more characters in the title’s arcade version. Whether or not this will come to impact the Wii U iteration of Pokken Tournament remains to be seen, but fans of the IP are sure to pull joy from the raw thrill that accompanies pummelling Lucha Pikachu with all four of Machamp’s arms.
