Superman and Lois Lane would go down as one of the greatest comic book couples of all time but apart from the comics, the two have had a stellar run in films and television shows. As the usual norm is in the live-action and animated depictions, Superman (Clark Kent) and Lois start off as work colleagues at the Daily Planet, eventually dating or marrying each other.

Despite the same narrative, there are specific details and Easter Eggs that fans might have forgotten over the years. In shows like Lois & Clark: The New Adventures and Smallville, some new non-comic dimensions have also been added to the couple’s relationship.

The first obvious reference is the allusion to Superman’s biological father Jor-El, the scientist from Krypton. Interestingly, Jordan Kent in itself was an alter ego that Superman used when he gave up his powers in Alan Moore’s famous comic storyline Superman: Whatever Happened To The Man of Tomorrow.
