The Dragon Ball franchise has seen some amazing video games over the past few years and several members of the cast are due to appear in the upcoming crossover fighting game called Jump Force.
It seems that another Dragon Ball game will be released in 2019, as Bandai Namco released a tweet with a logo for an unnamed Dragon Ball Z action RPG project.
The tweet gives scant information about the upcoming game, which means that we only know its genre and the year in which it is set to be released. Bandai Namco has yet to say anything about which systems the game will be appearing on.
It’s telling that the name for this project uses the Dragon Ball Z branding instead of the Dragon Ball Super branding, as Bandai Namco has been phasing out the Z name with the new forms of Dragon Ball media.
The use of the Dragon Ball Z name may mean that the game will only feature material from that period of the series, with Dragon Ball Super content being saved for a sequel.

The tweet also mentions that a character from Universe 11 will be joining the cast of Dragon Ball FighterZ, who is almost certainly going to be Jiren. The fans have been anticipating his arrival in the game since its release and his exclusion from the previous DLC only fuelled the speculation that more was on the way.
The information about the next FighterZ character will be revealed at the finals of the world tournament for the game, which are set to take place over the 26th and 27th of January.
The continuing support for FighterZ is a huge relief for fans, as the game was removed from the lineup of several important fighting game events at the end of 2018, with the speculation that the owners of the Dragon Ball license were seeking additional licensing fees for the game.
The fact that more DLC is on the way means that support for FighterZ will be continuing on for at least a few more characters, which means that the fans who are hoping for Yajirobe to be playable can keep their dreams alive for a little bit longer.
