However, thanks to a new DLC pack for Megaquarium – a public aquarium tycoon game from developer Twice Circled, the creator of Big Pharma – we can bring the water-based wildlife inside.
Available now on Steam and GOG, Megaquarium’s Freshwater Frenzy DLC pack lets players continue building out their public aquariums with a brand-new freshwater environment featuring new fish and tanks.
The freshwater habitat introduces new options for fish husbandry, including breeding, raising baby animals, and developing fish hybrids, while creating and maintaining healthy pH levels that are freshwater-specific. 30 new freshwater species are included in the pack, which include different varieties of fish, reptiles, and mammals.
Freshwater Frenzy also comes with an all-new five-level campaign for tycoons to take on. Additional accessories and posters for optimizing each aquarium’s display are also included, along with new plants, equipment, tanks, staff accessories, and paint styles.
The Freshwater Frenzy DLC pack should bring enough challenge to Megaquarium for veteran players. After all, the differences between saltwater habitats and freshwater habitats are pretty significant. For newer players who are fans of the tycoon management genre, Megaquarium (along with the Freshwater Frenzy DLC pack) seems to have a lot to offer. Plus, with a Steam user rating of “Very Positive,” it’s hard to imagine that the game won’t give you the management action that you’re looking for.
Making it even more enticing is that right now, the game is available on Steam for 50%-off the regular price for the base game, and 44%-off for the bundled pack which includes the original game plus the Freshwater Frenzy DLC pack.
