With an innocuous description that reads, “Destroy 10 boulders blocking caves,” the Demolition Artist achievement/trophy in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot doesn’t sound all that daunting. It should be relatively easy to locate 10 different boulders, right? For some wild reason, it isn’t. Despite most players having a general idea of where to look, many aren’t finding what they need to knock this task out.
Thankfully, we at TheGamer have done the hard work and figured out a pretty easy way to earn this achievement. While you’ll still need to put in the leg work to travel to these locations, you won’t have to wrack your mind searching every nook and cranny of Kakarot’s game world. Just follow these steps and you’ll be a boulder bashing Saiyan in no time!
Before starting this quest, know that your character needs to be around level 60 to actually smash rocks. It’s also better if you wait until you’ve finished the main story since you’ll have access to the entire game world. This will make getting the achievement a breeze as you won’t have to wait through cutscenes or finish any extra quests.
The best location to start your search is around Goku’s House. This can be found in the “Southeast Mountains Area.” On your in-game map, boulders will be hanging around Mineral Deposits, which are marked with a mineral deposit logo. Curiously, not each deposit has a boulder, but if you land and don’t see anything, you’re safe to fly off to the next location.
The very first boulder should be found beside a waterfall. Go just to the right of it and travel down a short path. You’ll see a cave blocked by a boulder and just waiting to be smashed. The second boulder is located not too far from this area. The piece of black meteorite down the path from the first boulder will be your focal point. The boulder is behind a hill that has two trees.
Staying in this region, the next boulder is located around another piece of black meteorite. When you’re flying in the air, you’ll notice a cluster of trees that are at the base of a small hill. The boulder is smack in the middle of those trees. The fourth boulder is in a similar location farther north. You’ll know your close when you see an NPC asking about Mr. Satan badges.
For the next two boulders, make your way over to the Olive Village in the “East Ravine Area.” You’ll want to use an enemy base logo on the map as your starting point since it is close to two mineral deposits. The first boulder is right beside a character asking about refined gold. The second is just northwest of a Fishing marker on your map. You can use the central river to help you locate this.
With those out of the way, head on over to Nam’s Village in the “Great West Desert Area.” The first boulder you’ll be smashing is located just east of a “Villainous Enemies” blip on your map. It will be blocking the entrance of a cave. The second boulder is just northeast of this location, right behind a character talking about pink meteorites.
The final boulder in this area will be in the southeast on the map. Just east of the “Villainous Enemies” marker, this boulder is next to some ruins. You can also use the mineral deposit logo to help guide you along.
With that out of the way, you’re one boulder away from your achievement. For the final rock, head to the Kodaiho Lands in the “Continent Center Area” location. Using the “Time Attack” marker, players can plop down and smack this boulder with relative ease. An NPC talking about yellow meteorites is basically right in front of it.
There are likely more than 10 boulders to be found in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, but these are the easiest to spot. The requirement to be level 60 is a bit odd, but it doesn’t take too long to level up in this game. Just keep making progress in the story and you’ll be boulder smashing in no time.
