We’ve got a few new screenshots that showcase Goten, Trunks, Gohan, and Android 18 wrecking some poor alien schmucks.

Dragon Ball fans are heartbroken that they’ll have to wait until after Christmas to get their hands on Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, but at least Bandai Namco released a few new teaser images to tide us over. They’re hi-res, flashy, and best of all, features Android 18 for the first time.

We knew that Android 18 would be featured in the game since Kakarot will follow the overall Dragon Ball story arc from the Sayan Saga all the way to the Buu Saga, but it’s still nice to see her in action.

Other characters featured in these new screenshots are Goten, the second son of Goku, as well as Adult Gohan and Trunks. The three of them team up to take on a member of the Frieza Force, and it looks like he has a really bad day.

There are 8 new screenshots in all, so get ’em while they’re hot!

For those unaware, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a new action RPG set in the Dragon Ball universe. You’ll take on the role of one of the story’s main characters and play as either Goku, Piccolo, Gohan (in Kid, Teen, and Adult forms), Vegeta, Trunks, Vegito, or Goten while you follow the Dragon Ball Z story.

The game isn’t quite a full open sandbox, but there will be plenty of open areas to explore and fly around in. Kakarot will feature linear progression through areas where you’ll fight, eat, train, battle, and even fish. We’re not clear on just what fishing will get you other than fish, but it’s an RPG trope that even Dragon Ball couldn’t avoid.

Each character will have their own skill tree that you’ll level up throughout your experience. Support characters such as Yamcha or Krillin will help you out, too.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot releases January 17th for the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC platforms. A Nintendo Switch version is in development but will release at a later date.
