Ever dreamed of smashing up Fortnite’s landscape with a pair of Hulk hands? Well, do we have some good news for you!
Fortnite has found mainstream fame via a number of avenues. One of the man ones is through collaborations with other pop culture phenomena. Epic has teamed up with the likes of Stranger Things, John Wick, and even Michael Jordan to bring unique crossover events to Fortnite. It’s currently teamed up with DC so that Aquaman and Black Manta can be a part of the game.
However, Fortnite’s biggest, best, and seemingly never-ending relationship is the one it has with Marvel. The two parties first teamed up to celebrate the release of Avengers: Infinity War. A year later, Thanos returned to coincide with the release of Avengers: Endgame. That second time, a number of Avengers-themed weapons joined the Mad Titan in his LTM, including Cap’s shield and Hawkeye’s bow and arrow.
Since then, the link has remained. Most recently, to celebrate July 4, Epic added a Captain America skin to the Fortnite store. Turns out the team-up is set to continue this summer as Epic has revealed it will collaborate with Square Enix during the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers beta. Anyone who plays the beta on PS4 or Xbox One will get a free Hulk Smashers Pickaxe.
Fortnite’s pickaxes aren’t usually much to write home about, but this one certainly is. Not only can Fortnite players smash up buildings using Hulk hands, but they also come with an alternate skin to make them look like the Hulkbuster’s hands. In order to get the unique Marvel pickaxe, players will need to complete three HARM challenges during the Marvel’s Avengers beta.
The offer is only available to PS4 and Xbox One players, however, Epic has revealed the Hulk Smashers Pickaxe will be coming to the Fortnite store at a later date. As for the Marvel’s Avengers beta, the PS4 preorder beta weekend starts on August 7, 2020. The Xbox One preorder beta weekend starts seven days later, at which point the beta will be open to all PS4 players. The beta will be open to all Xbox One players during the third weekend.
