The Fortnite crossover with Naruto: Shippuden has released, bringing character skins and locations from the anime series to the battle royale title. Over the last several years, Fortnite has executed a diverse collection of crossovers with various film, television, and comic book franchises. After a leak suggested Fortnite would receive Naruto skins and an in-game version of the franchise’s iconic Hidden Leaf Village, this information was later proven to be correct.

Well-known Fortnite leaker HYPEX teased the battle royale shooter’s Naruto event only a few days ago. The leaks claimed new cosmetics would be introduced based on the celebrated manga and anime series, along with a Creative Hub based on the Hidden Leaf Village. Creative Hubs are custom-made Fortnite maps, which are either created by players or tailor-built by Epic Games as recreations of places from other franchises. Recently, the game’s Naruto crossover event was officially revealed, with Epic admitting it would add characters like Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura as Fortnite skins, but no Creative Hub was mentioned at the time.

The Fortnite X Naruto: Shippuden crossover has finally arrived, and Epic Games breaks down the event on the game’s website. All four members of Team 7, consisting of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi, are now available as playable characters. The Kakashi, Sakura, and Naruto skins have alternate outfits, as well, such as Seventh Hokage Naruto and Black Ops Kakashi. New back bling will allow players to bring along the Demon Wind Shuriken or the adorable Pakkun, while pickaxes feature deadly weapons from the franchise like the Snake Sword or Hidan’s Scythe. The Kurama Glider lets players enter battle alongside the Nine-Tailed Fox, and emotes let players eat ramen or perform a summoning jutsu.

Alongside new cosmetics, Fortnite’s extensive crossover with Naruto: Shippuden includes a new quest line and an exciting Creative Hub for Naruto video game fans. For the rest of Season 8, Fortnite players will be able to find Kakashi hidden on The Island, and speaking to him will unlock ninja-themed Quests to complete. Meanwhile, the Naruto Featured Hub will let players freely explore series landmarks like the Hokage Residences. Speaking to Naruto within the hub will let players enter the Hidden Leaf Village Adventure Map, which provides an immersive experience complete with its own Naruto-themed quests and memorable locations, such as the Final Valley and Chunin Exam arena.

In its long line of multimedia promotions, Fortnite’s most recently announced collaboration is an upcoming Fortnite and Book of Boba Fett crossover, which is set to introduce the beloved Star Wars bounty hunter to the game. While no specific details have been provided so far, it’s expected a Boba Fett skin will be added, and a Fennec Shand seems likely, too.

While the Naruto skins alone would have been enough to intrigue players, Fortnite has gone above and beyond for this latest pop culture collaboration. Introducing four skins, a host of themed items, and the opportunity to explore the Hidden Leaf Village and other iconic Naruto locations is an impressive feat by Epic. By donning some ninja apparel and running around the Final Valley, players can now recreate Naruto: Shippuden’s most intense battle scenes in Fortnite of all places.
