Genshin Impact Patch 11 Everything Rumored & Confirmed

Now that Genshin Impact has been out for nearly two weeks, fans are already excited for new updates. Rumors and alleged leaks of Patch 1.1 began to surface earlier this week, and now developer miHoYo has officially confirmed some of it. Here’s everything that’s rumored, what’s confirmed so far, and all the details on Genshin Impact’s roadmap.

With an enormous open world and two dozen playable characters, Genshin Impact has a lot of content already. However, that hasn’t stopped fans of the action RPG from wanting more. Rumors suggest that Patch 1.1 could have up to eight new playable characters, including ones like Zhongli and Ayaka (both were featured in Genshin Impact’s beta). However, nothing related to new playable characters has been confirmed by miHoYo yet.

Currently, there are two massive zones for players to explore in Genshin Impact, each with a story arc: Mondstadt and Liyue. According to rumors, a leak of Patch 1.1 showed off a new zone. The new zone is called Inuzuma and is based around the Electro element. Players would unlock Inuzuma at Adventurer Rank 34, after the current end of Genshin Impact’s story. Again, these are just rumors and haven’t been confirmed by miHoYo. However, the Genshin Impact developer has confirmed some things in Patch 1.1 via a newly unveiled roadmap.

Genshin Impact Roadmap Explained

Developer miHoYo has unveiled a roadmap, showcasing when players can expect to see new content in Genshin Impact. The first stop on the roadmap is Patch 1.1, which is scheduled to release on November 11th, 2020. This contradicts the alleged leak showing it would release on October 12th, which means the new playable characters and Inuzuma rumors may also be false.

However, based on miHoYo’s roadmap (translated by MGG) at least one rumor was confirmed. Patch 1.1 will feature a new event called “The Unreturned Star.” The company didn’t share specific details about the event, but said it begins once Patch 1.1 is released. News of a Genshin Impact Halloween event, which had been rumored, weren’t shown on the roadmap. Instead, it focused on larger patches. It’s also interesting, because the roadmap shows updates will occur every five weeks, which is the same schedule miHoYo uses for their other current game, Honkai Impact 3rd.

For now, that’s everything rumored and confirmed for Patch 1.1. Developer miHoYo will undoubtedly share more details as the patch nears its scheduled release date of November 11th. It’s probably a major relief to the game’s many fans that Genshin Impact will receive updates so regularly. It means plenty of new content to keep the game feeling fresh.
