A Grand Theft Auto Online player recently decided to spruce up their Nightshark by turning it into all chrome, resulting in a vehicle that could blind players due to the glare. The Nightshark is an armored SUV that was added as part of GTA Online’s Gunrunning update in 2017 and is highly favored for its defensive capabilities.
The Nightshark continues to be a popular choice of vehicle in Los Santos thanks to its ability to easily handle both on and off-road terrain, its high speed, and heavy armor — which provides excellent defense against explosives. Along with these defensive capabilities, the vehicle also features four retractable machine guns installed at the front of the Nightshark. Thanks to its tanky features, the car is often a choice vehicle for griefers. Players are becoming wise to this, however, with one GTA Online Nightshark griefer defeated by a quick-thinking player utilizing the game’s indestructible trees.
Reddit user zeezaheer shared a clip of them speeding down the streets of Los Santos in their Nightshark, which had recently received a brand new coat of chrome paint. While the car certainly looked impressive with its shiny new exterior, zeezaheer quickly revealed that there were some detriments to driving around in an all-chrome vehicle during the day. As the Nightshark sped down the street, the shiny chrome began to reflect the Los Santos sun, giving off an exceptionally blinding glare, so powerful it seemingly obscured the vehicle, turning the car into a giant circle of light.
Many Redditors chimed in to state that they too were now blind from seeing zeezaheer’s all-chrome vehicle. Meanwhile, others joked that the reflective effects from the Nightshark must be part of GTA V’s upcoming console upgrades, which promise expanded and enhanced graphics. The separate trailers for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrades for the game were showcased recently on Rockstar, PlayStation, and Xbox’s respective YouTube channels, but were quickly showered with overwhelming dislikes by fans, many displeased with the quality of the graphical upgrades being boasted by Rockstar.
While the Nightshark may be considered one of the best vehicles in GTA Online’s Warstock Cache & Carry store, zeezaheer’s all-chrome Nightshark may have to be relegated to night driving, or they’ll have to do some repainting should they want to keep their eyesight intact. Hopefully, griefers don’t get wind of zeezaheer’s paint job, or GTA Online players may need to invest in sunglasses to keep playing.
