For a limited time, Pokemon from Gold and Silver will have their spawn rates increased. This makes it much easier not only to find the Pokemon for the challenge but also other Pokemon that new players might have missed when Johto’s inclusion in the game was new. This is the perfect opportunity to gain enough Candy to evolve it. Although, players will also need a Sinnoh Stone to evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow. Murkrow is a bit rarer than the starter Pokemon, but not by much. It is very possible that players will encounter Murkrow when casually playing the game in the wild. Although for those who are struggling to make it spawn, the best thing to do would be to use an Incense. This item will increase the spawn rate of all Pokemon for 1 hour. Combining this with the already increased spawn rate of Johto Pokemon for this event and Murkrow will likely spawn in the first few minutes. From experience, a total of 6 Murkrow spawned within the 1 hour the Incense was active. This is a great opportunity to gain enough Candy to evolve it as well.

Pokemon Go will likely host a Kanto Collection event next week to match the theme of all the previous weeks. While the items the players are given for completing these challenges aren’t really substantial, that exclusive medal is what everyone is after.
