Kristianna Roth is moving closer to being released from jail again. But it appears that while she has been away, her sister, Tara, has been getting cozy with her husband, John Miller. At least, that’s what Kristianna’s mother believes. In an exclusive clip of Life After Lockup’s Friday episode, Kristianna’s mother explains her suspicions about John and Tara’s relationship.
John and Kristianna were introduced on season three of Love After Lockup. The two met while Kristianna was serving time on drug-related charges. After hitting it off during her incarceration, John moved quickly in marrying Kristianna upon her release. The two wed on the side of the road in a traditional ceremony among his Native American tribe. While the newlyweds were living happily ever after, Kristianna sent herself back to jail after breaking her parole by leaving the halfway house she was required to stay at. Kristianna opened up about the relapse she suffered after leaving the home and cried while knowing she was headed back to jail. Since her return to prison, John has been patiently waiting for his wife’s return while building a relationship with Kristianna’s family.
In an exclusive clip of Friday’s episode, Kristianna calls John on the phone to give him an update on her upcoming release. “I found out that I should be getting out of here in about a month,” she told John. “Oh fantastic. I really miss you baby,” John replies. After admitting to putting on weight while in jail, John tells producers how that news makes him happy. “It doesn’t really matter to me that Kristianna has put on a few pounds” he shared. “Weight gain in an addict is usually a good sign that they’re clean and healthy.” He went on to share how in love he is with his wife and how much deeper his love has grown in the time she’s been away. But, after the phone conversation is directed to Kristianna’s sister Tara, things get interesting.
“Hi sister,” Kristianna tells Tara. “I miss you,” she added. “I miss you too,” Tara replies. “Your husband is a little freaking crazy,” she jokingly adds. “That’s not true,” John says. Kristianna’s mom then joins the conversation. But when John tells his wife that he misses her “terribly,” Tara interjects by saying, “Hey, he said my name in that. He misses Tara he just said it,” Tara tells her sister. “I miss you Tara…bly,” John sounds out. But, while speaking to her daughter in private, Kristianna’s mom expresses her suspicions over their flirtatious behavior. “I really don’t know what’s going on between the two of you,” her mother says. “There’s nothing going on,” Tara replies.
“John and Tara do quite a bit of flirting,” her mother told producers. “I wouldn’t be surprised if anything between the two of them took place. It could happen. But, I hope not.” The bombshell is news to the viewers and will be even more shocking to Kristianna when she returns home.
