Pokemon Go Landorus Raid Counters (Season of Legends)

Landorus is one of the Pokemon needed for the Season of Legends in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players the best raid counters for this Pokemon. Currently, the Season of Legends is focusing heavily on Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus, the legendary Pokemon from the Unova region. Along with this event came a new Special Research task to complete. In this Special Research Task, players will need to capture a snapshot of one of each of these Pokemon and in order to do that, players will need to capture them through raid battles or trades. Here are the best Pokemon to bring along for these raid battles in Pokemon Go.

For starters, this is a 5-star raid, making it one of the most difficult to complete. From experience, try and wait until at least 5 other players have joined the lobby before putting in a raid pass. Players will have a hard time taking on Landorus regardless of the level if they don’t have enough players. Also, the more players the better since the game will reward the player with extra Premier Balls to capture Landorus at the end. Here are some of the best Pokemon to bring along to defeat Landorus in this raid battle.

The Best Landorus Raid Counters in Pokemon Go

If you have any of these Pokemon, make sure to bring them along. Landorus is a Ground/Flying Pokemon, meaning Ice-type moves will be your best bet. Here are the best Pokemon to bring along.

  • Mega Abomasnow: Powder Snow and Weather Ball
  • Mamoswine: Powder Snow and Avalanche
  • Galarian Darmanitan: Ice Fang and Avalanche
  • Mewtwo: Psycho Cut and Ice Beam
  • Weavile: Ice Shard and Avalanche
  • Jynx: Frost Breath and Avalanche

As long as you focus on bringing along Ice-type Pokemon and have a decent amount of players, Landorus should fall fairly easily. Now, capturing it can be tricky so make sure to use as many Golden Razz Berries as you can. Also, make sure to wait until it finishes its attack animation to throw the ball. Wasting even a single ball can make it escape if you aren’t too careful.

Pokemon Go continues to provide new content to its players. Considering this is the Pokemon series’ 25th anniversary, there is much to look forward to for the rest of the year. Not only that but Pokemon Go is celebrating 5 years in 2021. An anniversary event is inevitable at this point.
