Rick and Morty is an adult animated series that first aired on Adult Swim in 2013. Rick and Morty was created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. Rick is an alcoholic genius scientist who is also the father of Beth Smith and the grandfather of Morty and Summer Smith. Morty is a soft-soul young teenager who is more or less dragged on intergalactic missions with his grandfather.

Over four seasons, the duo have been to multiple planets and dimensions. Whether they are looking for mechanical parts for an invention or fleeing from the Council of Ricks, there’s always something to be discovered. Without further delay, these are the 5 best and worst worlds that the titular characters of Rick and Morty visited.

10 WORST: On A Cob Planet

The first bad place Rick and the Smith family have been to is definitely On a Cob Planet. This planet was shown in Season 2’s tenth episode “The Wedding Squanchers,” where the family is going to Bird Person and Tammy’s wedding. In this episode, it turns out that Tammy is a Galactic Federation agent trying to find Rick. The family must flee the planet and never return home.

On a Cob Planet pretty much speaks for itself: everything is literally on a cob. The mountains are on a cob, the corn on the cob is on a cob, and the atoms are on a cob. Once Rick figured this out, he makes the whole family leave immediately.

9 BEST: Bird World

One of the best places Rick and Morty have been to is Bird World. The first time that audiences see Birdworld is in Season 2 episode “Get Schwifty.” In case you forgot, it’s the epic episode where Rick and Morty have to make the best song in the world to save Earth.

While making the song, Morty steals Rick’s portal gun and accidentally stumbles upon the planet. The cool thing about Birdworld is that they live in wooden houses that are built into trees. One of the planet’s downsides is that all of their TV shows are 20 years old. Hey, nothing’s perfect!

8 WORST: Greasy Grandma World

Rick & Morty The 5 Best & 5 Worst Worlds The Duo Visited

Another bad planet Rick and Morty have been on is Greasy Grandma World, which they came across in Season 1 episode “Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind.” In this episode, Rick is taken to the Council of Ricks and put on trial for murder.

But back to the grandma dimension: This dimension is literally just grease and a bunch of random grandmas. There is nothing else seen on this planet: no wildlife, no plants. Just greasy grandmas. This planet just seems like it would be uncomfortable to visit.

7 BEST: The Post-Apocalyptic Dimension

Rick & Morty The 5 Best & 5 Worst Worlds The Duo Visited

In Season 3 Episode 2 “Rickmancing the Stone,” Rick takes Summer and Morty to a random universe to get anyway from Jerry who is in the process of moving out of their house. In this episode, Morty goes on a epic revenge mission with his new sentient arm and Beth starts living a more barbaric lifestyle with the new people she met around town.

While this planet is overrun by apocalyptic monsters, this place seems to be just what Morty and Summer needed as their parents are getting a divorce. While it is not exactly the healthiest way to cope and heal, it was what worked at that exact moment and it did them some good.

6 WORST: Dwarf Terrace-9

Another bad planet that Rick and the Smith family end up living on was in the episode “The Wedding Squanchers.” As the Galactic Federation was trying to find Rick, the family lived here for a time to hideout. The family is not there for too long though because Rick eventually ends up turning himself in to the Galactic Federation.

This planet is just awful and claustrophobic. The circumference of the planet is 330 yards, which allows Morty to play frisbee by himself. This planet made a bad situation downright depressing. Nobody would be happy living on this dwarf planet.

5 BEST: Blips & Chitz

Rick & Morty The 5 Best & 5 Worst Worlds The Duo Visited

Blips and Chitz is a giant arcade that Rick brings Morty to in the Season 2 episode “Mortynight Run.” In this episode, Rick meets up with an assassin named Krombopulos to sell him an antimatter gun. After Rick sells the gun, he takes Morty to Blips and Chitz for a day of games.

Blips and Chitz seems like the ultimate place to have a party. It is home to the infamous “Roy: A Life Well Lived” game along with a lot of other completely random and fun games to try. Rick sold an assassin a gun just to be able to spend an entire day here, so it must be worth it.

4 WORST: The Purge Planet

In Season 2’s “Look Who’s Purging Now,” Rick and Morty are flying though space when a bug hits their windshield. Rick decides to stop at a near by planet for some windshield wiper. What they don’t realize is that they landed during the night of a killing festival in the town.

This planet is the home to the humanoid cat-like people who hold an annual purging festival, not unlike the one seen in The Purge movies. While during the day everyone is nice and kind, everything changes on that one night every year. It is obvious that these cat people do not like anyone in their town and are more than willing to kill everyone one the purge night.

3 BEST: The Pawn Shop Planet

Rick & Morty The 5 Best & 5 Worst Worlds The Duo Visited

Rick and Morty go to a planet with lone pawn shop in the show’s seventh episode “Raising Gazorpazorp.” In this episode, Rick is searching for a defraculator, but ends up with a sex bot that Morty wanted.

A Pawn Shop Planet would just be cool to see no matter on what show, but even more so in Rick and Morty. In the episode, the audience only really gets a glimpse of what this store has to offer. Just like any pawn shop, they have everything and nothing at the same time. The only difference is that this shop is full of spaceship parts, extra-dimensional technology, and other bits and bobs.

2 WORST: Dimension C-137

Rick & Morty The 5 Best & 5 Worst Worlds The Duo Visited

Dimension C-137 is the universe where the original Season 1 Rick and Morty are from. Everything changes in ” Rick Potion #9,” where Morty uses a love potion on Jessica that infects everyone on Earth except for Rick, Morty, Summer, Beth and Jerry.

The reason this is the worst planet Rick and Morty have been on is because it is just sad. Morty now has to live with the fact that he is not living with his actual mom, dad and sister. Morty had to leave behind his home and live with someone new and act like that it was completely okay. Also, it is now run over by Cronebergs because of the love potion Rick made.

1 BEST: Unity’s Planet

The best place Rick, Morty and Summer have ever been on is Unity’s planet that they visited in Season 2, Episode 3. Unity is a hive mind, which means she is able to take over the minds of as many people she wants. Back in the day, Unity and Rick used to date and they got back together in this episode.

While it might seem unfair that these people had their minds taken over by a random lady, she did unify the planet and make them peaceful. Before Unity took over the people that lived there, they were in a war over their differing nipples. One of the great things about this planet is its architecture and landscape because its just very beautiful looking. She made this planet a utopia for the betterment of herself and maybe the people on the planet.
