For nine seasons, fans of The Office learned the ins and outs of Dunder Mifflin Scranton’s office. Michael’s office was tucked away (even though we all know he’d rather be hanging out with his “friends” in their cubicles), Jim was always near Pam, and Dwight was never too far away from Jim. The accounting department couldn’t have been more different and their desks showed their unique styles. We never saw too much of Meredith and Creed’s workspace but that’s probably for the best…

It’s been six years since the last episode aired, so we’re taking a look back at some of the things viewers may have missed while streaming for the thousandth time.

10 THIS CARTOON DRAWING OF PAM

In this view, we see the inside of Pam’s desk at reception. The camera pans over to Pam quite often as she’s one of the biggest characters on the show thanks to her relationship with salesman Jim. A receptionist by day and an artist at night, Pam loves to “doodle,” as Jan says.

When we catch the inside of her desk, we see that she drew a picture of herself at work. We can see her sweater, her curly hair, and “Dunder Mifflin, this is Pam” written above the character’s head. Now if only she drew Jim nearby…

9 GREAT SCOTT SALAD DRESSING

Once Jan was fired from Dunder Mifflin, she moved to Scranton to live with Michael. Now that she wasn’t working, she had much more time on her hands and would pop over to Michael’s office to have lunch with him.

In this scene, the two are eating salads and if you look on Michael’s desk, there appears to be a Mason jar with Michael’s face on it. When you zoom in, it appears that Michael made his own salad dressing called Great Scott!

8 PAM STILL USES JIM’S TEAPOT!

When Jim was still crushing on Pam (and Pam was still with Roy), Jim picked her name for Secret Santa. Unlike the other gifts in the office, Jim’s was incredibly thoughtful and from the heart.

Pam had been wishing for a new teapot, so Jim found her the perfect one and put a bunch of memories and goodies inside for her to giggle at. Years later when the two are married, we see Pam using the same teapot at her Finer Things Club.

7 MICHAEL’S ‘DEGREE’ HANGING IN HIS OFFICE

We learn early on that Michael never went to college (or at least graduated college) when Ryan Howard talks to him about business school. Michael is proud of his role as Regional Manager but the idea of business school intrigues him.

But if Michael never went to college, then what’s the degree hanging behind his desk? If you zoom in, it’s actually not a degree at all, but a certificate. “Michael Scott is the proud owner of a quality Seyko Timepiece,” the certificate states in bold. Funny enough Seyko is misspelled. It should be Seiko.

6 STANLEY’S NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION

When Pam realizes she was an awful salesperson, she decided to make up a job and act as if it was her own title. Now as the Office Administrator, Pam made it her duty to make sure the office was functioning smoothly. She reminded Scranton about staying germ-free during flu season, bought a new computer for the reception, and tried to encourage Dunder Mifflin workers by setting New Year’s resolutions.

While most of the office had silly resolutions, Stanley took another route: “To be a better husband and boyfriend,” his notecard states. Wouldn’t he be a better husband if he got rid of his mistress and would he be a better boyfriend if he got rid of his wife?

5 MICHAEL TRIED SELLING THE PLASMA TV JAN BROKE

In the fourth season, we were gifted with one of the best episodes of the series, “Dinner Party.” In this episode, we got an inside look at the life Michael and Jan were living. Jan had some dangerous control issues and Michael acted as the battered wife.

At the end of the party, Jan threw one of Michael’s Dundies at his prized plasma TV. It broke and Michael was devasted. Later on in season seven (three seasons later), we see him trying to sell his plasma at the office’s garage sale!

4 WHEN CREED RELEASED THIS EASTER EGG

Creed is definitely the most secretive man in the office. Known simply as Creed, no one really knew what he did at Dunder Mifflin — he didn’t even know what he did at Dunder Mifflin! However, in season four, Creed released a little Easter egg that eagle-eyed fans picked up on.

The character admitted that when he gets in trouble with the law, he uses the name William Charles Schneider as a backup. The funny thing is, William Charles Schneider is the actor’s real name and that is likely his real-life passport that he’s holding up at the office!

3 THEY WENT ALL OUT ON ST. PATRICK’S DAY

In the sixth season, we see the gang at Dunder Mifflin going green for St. Patrick’s Day. This is the episode where Jim gets back from paternity leave and Andy and Erin decide to go on their first date.

St. Patrick’s Day is a big day for boozing in the States and it appears Scranton takes it very seriously. In a quick glimpse of Stanley, we can see someone even dyed the water green!

2 A NOD TO THE UK VERSION OF THE OFFICE

Before the US version of The Office hit TV, there was an equally funny British version that came before it. As a nod to the original show, we can see the British flag sitting in Michael’s pencil holder on his desk! Another silent shoutout is Dunder Mifflin Scranton’s address.

Their address is inside a business park at 1725 Slough Avenue, Scranton, PA. In the UK version of The Office, the workers worked inside Slough Trading Estate. Working on Slough Avenue is a great nod to its predecessor.

1 CHICKENS AND CATS

Accountants Kevin and Angela couldn’t be more different. For starters, Angela is actually good at accounting and Kevin is too sweet of a human being to be in her company. While Kevin used to get pushed around by Angela, he begins to stand up for himself (in his own way) as the seasons go on.

As many fans know, Angela loves cats and decorates her desk with cat calendars, pictures, and figurines. In this scene, we can see that the divider between Kevin and Angela has been split down the middle. On his side, there are chicken figurines, while there are cats on Angela’s side!
