If you want this skin in Doom Eternal, you’re going to have to look at a lot of stuff on the game’s website.

Doom Eternal arrives next March. In the lead-up to the game’s release, Bethesda has been showcasing skins and other cosmetic items that can be unlocked before you even get the game. They’re achieved by joining the Slayer’s Club–Doom’s online fan club–and then doing a bunch of stuff.

One of the skins that you could get is the 25th Anniversary Slayer Skin that celebrates a quarter-century of Doom with a very grey-looking Doomguy. Why grey? We don’t know. The original Doomguy definitely wore green armor, as did the nameless Doom Slayer in the 2015 reboot.

It certainly looks cool, so Doom fans are definitely going to want to get their claws on it. The only problem is, getting the 25th Anniversary skin seems to be a bit of a trial.

To get the skin, you must join the Doom Slayer’s Club and then rank-up to the highest rank of Doom Slayer. You get ranks on the Slayer’s Club by gaining Slayer Points, which you get for doing basically anything on the club’s website. Reading news updates, entering polls, taking quizzes, visiting the forums, watching trailers and livestreams, and submitting fan art will all net you Slayer Points.

Just how many Slayer Points you need to reach the rank of Doom Slayer is unknown, but it’s likely to be a lot. The idea here is that only the ultimate fans achieve the rank of Doom Slayer, so you’ll have to spend a lot of time clicking around the site before you achieve the ultimate rank.

On the plus side, there are other skins you can get while you’re busy ranking up to Doom Slayer. In-between ranks will get you stuff like the Imperial Marauder skin at Hellwalker, or the Kaiju Archvile skin at rank Phobos. There’s definitely a reason to join the Slayer’s Club and watch as much content as you can even if you don’t plan on reaching the rank of Doom Slayer.
