There are several different outfits that players can don in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, and the Platinum Style is one of them. This outfit is not purchased from the Metronome Style Shop, though, and it is only available for a limited time. How to Unlock the Platinum Style in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
The first step toward unlocking the Platinum outfit is to purchase either Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl before Monday, February 21, 2022. Indeed, this style is being offered as a reward for Pokemon fans that buy these games “early,” and those that meet that requirement can find information on how to claim the outfit in-game below. Unfortunately, players that are reading this guide after that date will not be able to take possession of this special clothing.
With that established, the next thing that players that are interested in this outfit must do is unlock Mystery Gifts in Pokemon BDSP. This can be done by visiting Jubilife TV and speaking with the man in sunglasses on the third floor of the building, though players must defeat the Gym Leader in Oreburgh City first. During this conversation, fans should select “Everyone Happy Wi-Fi Connection” to cause a Mystery Gift tab to appear in the menu.
Players should now click on that Mystery Gift tab and select “Get via Internet.” After a short time, fans will see a “Clothing Gift” appear, and they should select it to unlock the Platinum Style. When that is done, fans can head over to Veilstone City’s Metronome Style Shop where they can change clothes in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and put on their brand new outfits.
To note, players that are accessing the “Get via Internet” section of their Mystery Gifts for the very first time should also receive an egg. That egg will hatch into a Manaphy in Pokemon BDSP, giving fans easy access to a mythical Pokemon. Again, this reward will only be issued until February 21, 2022, and players that have missed that deadline will need to find another way to add this Water-type Pokemon, or its evolution, to their teams.
