With the star quality that 90 Day Fiancé’s Yara Zaya has, it’s not surprising to know that this is not the first time she’s doing a reality show. Recently, TLC viewers had stumbled upon a video from Yara’s early twenties where she’d auditioned for a dating TV show – and she looked nearly unrecognizable. However, even more shocking than Yara’s nose job is the fact that her husband Jovi Dufren is also not appearing on TV for the first time. The 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi was spotted by a fan in a CMT series from six years ago.
One of the most popular couples of 90 Day Fiancé season 8, Jovi and Yara have had their fair share of fights since their first episode together. Shockingly, Jovi has gone to the extent of hinting at Yara being after a green card while his Ukrainian girlfriend has gotten criticism for saying offensive things about New Orleans. Generally, the 90 Day Fiancé couple’s problems fizzle out once Jovi gives “gold digger” Yara an expensive gift or two. Turns out, Yara was always hung up on finding a rich foreign man for herself, as she’d revealed during her appearance on a Ukraine dating show. Titled “Girl on a mission,” a video of Yara speaking of tolerating a man who’d “beat her with a rod” for a “few million dollars” had gone viral in the 90 Day Fiancé fan community. And as per Yara’s Instagram, she also appeared not too long ago on another reality show called Who Is Against Blondes? in her home country. But while 90 Day Fiancé’s Jovi is better known for doing his successful underwater robotics job on the TLC show, he too had shown up on a reality show in 2014.
As reported by @90daythemelanatedway, one dedicated 90 Day Fiancé fan happened to come across Jovi on TV while watching CMT’s Party Down South. In it, TLC star Jovi seems to have been a part of Party Down South’s season 2 episode 2 titled, “We Gonna Fight, or We Gonna Kiss?” which was first broadcast in June 2014. Also known as The Dirty South and Dirty South, this reality show was set in five different locations: Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; Athens, Georgia; Savannah, Georgia; Biloxi, Mississippi; and St. Petersburg, Florida. Being quite popular back in the day, Party Down South also got a spinoff series called Party Down South 2. The show is described as the “biggest, baddest and boldest personalities” south of the Maxon-Dixon line who spend “one sizzling summer” working, and partying, and finding new romantic interests. Their goal, as stated is to have “the ultimate summer.” Eight out of the housemates return for season 2, aka the one in which 90 Day Fiancé’s Jovi has been spotted.

However, apart from Jovi being on a show that’s not 90 Day Fiancé, it’s the screengrab that fans are finding more interesting. “Looks like he’s questioning his life choices,” joked a fan in the comments, while another one asked if the girl in the photo is Jovi’s ex that wet the bed. One fan says that Jovi and Mattie, a cast-member of Party Down South seem to be friends as well, as per his old IG posts. And a different 90 Day Fiancé viewer asks, “Does anyone know how many 90-Day participants are members of the Actor’s/Actress Guild?”
Previously, 90 Day Fiancé fans have spotted the show’s stalwarts such as Angela Deem on Maury and Trisha, Molly Hopkins and Cynthia on Double Divas, and Evelyn Cormier on American Idol. Meanwhile, will 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi reveal what he was doing on Party Down South, or will he keep it a secret like he currently is doing with his marriage to Yara and their baby daughter?
