Remember when some gamers were annoyed about Samurai armour? They’re going to love this.

Dataminers have leaked emblems, armour sets, and weapon charms from Halo Infinite’s technical preview, and they’re full of memes and Christmas outfits.

As reported by VGC, the collection of leaked items were posted over on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit by proplayer97. The links lead to a collection of posts by Twitter user HaloNoticiasMX, who seems to have collected all of the datamined emblems in one place.

Although some of the emblems are standard “chibi-version of popular character” fare, some of them are a little bit more interesting. By interesting, we of course mean that they’re Halo versions of popular memes. You’ve got Master Chief dressed up and posing like The Rock, Master Chief recreating the “Aliens.” meme pose, and even a Grunt doing the “this is fine” burning dog meme.

There are also some other interesting emblem choices in there too, such as what looks like a Faze clan symbol, Master Chief in a Minecraft style, and what we could swear looks like a Craig the Brute reference. Could just be a Brute, but that’s where the mind goes.

It wasn’t just emblems that leaked from Halo Infinite’s technical preview either. VGC also highlighted several weapon charms, helmets, and armour VFX that were leaked. The charms are fairly innocuous, such as a piece of bacon, a nerf bullet-lookalike, and an Xbox Elite controller, but the VFX and helmets are interesting.

Two Christmas-themed helmets are shown in the leak, including a Santa hat and reindeer nose, which seem to tie into the previously leaked snowman helmet. There’s also VFX for fire and water wings and a Halo, as well as rainbow punk-rock spikes that look absolutely killer.

What’s particularly funny about this discovery, beyond the memes themselves, is that Halo fans were pretty up in arms about Halo 3’s eighth-season introducing more abstract armours based on history. There were many calls that Halo was leaning into the funny side a bit too much, so you can only imagine their reaction to seeing Master Chief with a Santa hat on.
