Here’s who is in the Hanna season 2 cast and where you’ve seen them before. Created by David Farr, who serves as showrunner, Hanna season 2 continues the story of the rebellious teenage super-soldier played by Esme Creed-Miles. Hanna season 1 loosely adapted the 2011 Hanna feature film starring Saoirse Ronan and directed by Joe Wright before it veered in a completely new direction.

Hanna season 2 picks up soon after season 1’s cliffhanger, where Hanna and her ‘sister’ Clara (Yasmin Monet Prince) have escaped the clandestine CIA program called Utrax and are hiding in the vast forests of Romania. However, Utrax’s new director, John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney), redeployed its army of enhanced, teenage female assassins-in-training to a new facility in Northern England called the Meadows. When Clara is reacquired by Utrax, Hanna must trust her old enemy, Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos), to infiltrate Utrax and find out its origins and purpose. Hanna soon finds herself in the grip of Utrax and she has to decide whether she truly belongs with her ‘sisters’ or if she has to continue to fight them, which is what her late adopted father, Erik Heller (Joel Kinnaman), trained her for.

Hanna season 2 intriguingly expands the universe of the show and explores the ramifications of a school of young teen assassins who are being trained to serve the United States. Fascinatingly, with the exception of Enos and Mulroney, Hanna’s cast is comprised of mostly British actors who are playing Americans. For many of them, Hanna season 2 is their first major television role.

Esme Creed-Miles as Hanna – In Hanna season 2, Hanna finds herself torn between fighting and joining Utrax. Creed-Miles is a British actress and musician who starred in the films Pond Life and Undercliffe.

Mireille Enos as Marissa Wiegler – Marissa is now on Hanna’s side as she tries to unravel the mystery who is behind Utrax. Enos is best known for starring in The Killing, World War Z, and If I Stay.

Dermot Mulroney as John Carmichael – The new leader of Utrax, Carmichael has a hidden agenda. Mulroney has appeared in numerous films and TV series like My Best Friend’s Wedding and USA’s The Purge.

Yasmin Monet Prince as Clara Mahan – Clara escaped Utrax with Hanna but is driven by the desire to find her mother. Monet Prince appeared in Noctural and Dark Heart.

Aine Rose Daly as Sandy Phillips – Sandy is a true believer in Utrax who tries to be a friend to all of the other trainees. Rose Daly is an actor and musician who also appeared in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.

Cherrelle Skeete as Terri Miller – Terri is a CIA specialist who works as an ersatz mother figure to the Utrax trainees. Skeete is a British actress who played Rose Granger-Weasley and Young Hermione in the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Anthony Welsh as Leo Garner – Garner is Carmichael’s right-hand man who directly oversees Utrax and the trainees. Welsh is a British actor who appeared in Red Tails, Fleabag, and Black Mirror.

Katie Clarkson-Hill as Joanne McCoy – Joanne is Utrax’s group leader who helps run the program. McCoy has appeared in Grantchester and Gold Digger.

Gianna Kiehl as Jules Allen – Jules is Sandy’s best friend and the most independent-minded Utrax trainee. Hanna is Kiehl’s first major role after appearing in the short films Still Standing and How To Read Minds.

Severine Howell-Meri as Helen Young – Helen is one of Sandy and Jules’ best friends at Utrax. Howell-Meri has appeared in Doctors and Casualty.

Angela Sari as Kat Gelder – Kat is the daughter of a Utrax target befriended by Sandy and Clara on their first mission. Hanna is Sari’s first major acting role.

Mark Bazeley as Robert Gelder – Gelder is a Washington attorney who becomes a target of Utrax. Bazeley is a British actor known for appearing in Broadchurch and Home Fires.
