League of Legends apparently didn’t get enough Pringles last year, so the chipmaker is back once again to sponsor the European Championship Spring Fling with another giveaway.
Esports is expensive. Paying casters, renting stadium space, and funding prize pools aren’t for anyone without deep pockets. Or at the very least some sweet corporate sponsorship. Or salty corporate sponsorship, which is the case with Riot Games and the League of Legends European Championship Spring Split.
Pringles has returned to fund the Spring Split tournament with their special brand of salty snacks. The chipmaker sponsored last year’s Summer tournament to great success, so this year they’ve decided to bump things up a season and do the same thing again for the Spring Split.
And just like last time, Pringles is giving away tons of League of Legends loot and a trip to Berlin to see how things work backstage.
But first, the loot. Each can of Pringles purchased in most European countries will have a code that you can type into a special website. Each code will have a chance to win League of Legends loot, including Riot Points, a Hextech Chest & Key, or the rarest of all, a Hextech Skin.
In addition, 10 lucky winners will get an exclusive trip to LEC Studios in Berlin to see how the tournaments are cast. Winners get tickets to the show, a tour backstage, an on-stage playtest, and will get to meet the casters.
