Stephenie LaGrossa is a Survivor legend, known for being one of the strongest women to ever play the game. She competed on three separate seasons of Survivor, but was never able to take home the title of sole survivor and the grand prize of $1,000,000. It has been a decade since she last appeared on CBS’s long-running reality competition series, and a lot has changed for this iconic contestant.

Stephenie LaGrossa first appeared on season 10 of the show, Survivor: Palau, back in 2005. According to her bio on CBS’s website, she was always a fierce competitor, as she played Division One Lacrosse during college and is very active. In this season, she played well in challenges, though her tribe’s lack of teamwork made them lose every Immunity Challenge for 21 straight days. Stephenie solidified her status as an incredible Survivor player after she outlasted everyone else in her tribe. She became a tribe of only one person and survived on her own. She was absorbed by the majority tribe, and eventually became the 10th person voted out. She returned in the next season for Survivor: Guatemala and made it all the way to the final two before losing to Danni Boatwright and becoming the runner-up. Her last appearance was on season 20, Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains, where she was on the Heroes tribe. She was in the minority alliance from the beginning of the season and was the second person voted out.

Post-Survivor, Stephenie has spent the past decade out of the limelight. She became Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick when she married a former professional baseball pitcher, Kyle Kendrick, in 2010. Though they lived in Philadelphia when Kyle Kendrick was pitching for The Phillies, the pair have since moved to Mount Vernon, Washington. In 2011, they were victims of a burglary, as someone broke into their house and stole his MLB World Series ring and thousands of dollars. According to a Go Skagit (a local news source), all of the items were eventually found and returned.

The pair have three beautiful children. Stephenie had a daughter named Sophia in 2011, a son called Kyle in 2013, and another daughter (Sloane) last year. In 2019, she went on fellow Survivor contestant Rob Cesternino’s podcast and talked about her experiences on Survivor. She said in the podcast that she had lost touch with Survivor and thought of herself as retired when she was busy raising her kids. Now, she’s open to playing the game again. She has kept up her active lifestyle and is a fitness enthusiast. Stephenie is a co-host and personality for a health & fitness app, Reality Check Fitness. She said in the podcast that she was partnering with another Survivor alum, Survivor: The Amazon player Heidi Strobel Hamels.

Since her time on Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains a decade ago, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick became a wife, mother of three, and fitness app co-host. Fans will be happy to know she is happy with her family and is open to returning to Survivor in the future.
