The most dangerous Temtem to meet in the wild is Skunch, apparently.
Temtem has just reached a pretty big milestone. Over 500,000 copies of Temtem have been sold, and to celebrate Crema Games decided to post a few interesting statistics from the game’s Early Access on Steam.
“We wanted to celebrate this special step with some fun data,” Crema wrote over on the r/PlayTemtem subreddit. “Ever wanted to know which Temtem was the deadliest? Or the most banned? Here you go!”
So which Temtem don’t you want to meet in a dark alley? Why, Skunch of course.
Skunch is the evolutionary form of Skail and is basically a Melee-type upgrade. That bushy Skail tail suddenly becomes a furry fist of fury capable of one-hit KOing almost any Temtem it comes up against.
Skunch is a vicious combination of speed and power. It’s got good overall stats, but also gets the Brawny trait that increases its physical attack techniques’ damage by 20%. It also learns Held Anger at level 9, an incredibly powerful Neutral technique that gets even more powerful when combined with Brawny. This combo can easily catch a tamer unaware and knock out one of their Temtem.
So far, Skunch has knocked out 36,569 player-controlled Temtem. For this reason, we really recommend you catch your own Skail and evolve it to become Skaunch by leveling it up 17 times.
Also, we know that’s a Skail and not a Skunch in the above Tweet. Crema has yet to comment on the error.
Crema revealed a few more interesting tidbits. Players have bred over 1.4 million Temtem since the game’s release last month, while only 5.42% of players have found a highly coveted Luma Temtem (which are basically like shiny Pokémon). Your rival Max has one-hit KO’d almost 370,000 tamers in their first fight, while first dojo leader Sofia has defeated over 233,000 tamers. Temtem is not a game that pulls any punches.
The most recent patch added some content to Temtem’s limited end game in the form of Saipark, a Safari Zone-like area where you can catch rare Temtem every week.
Temtem is sure to add more content as the game evolves on Steam Early Access, so stay tuned.
