TheGamers Persona 5 Royal 100% Completion Walkthrough December

Welcome to TheGamer’s Persona 5 Royal walkthrough. Here, we’re gonna be guiding you through all ten playable months of the game, making sure you’ll make it to the true ending with all confidant ranks and social stats maxed out— not to mention popping that shiny platinum on your first run of the game.

Going month by month, this guide will include:

  • Month overview
  • Notes on restricted/limited time events
  • Daily activity guide
  • Mementos and Palace notes
  • Recommendations/tips for combat optimization.

A few things to note going into this walkthrough:

  • This walkthrough is a modified version of this guide, optimized for further efficiency and combat effectiveness.
  • All confidant rank ups are dependent on you bringing a persona of a matching arcana when spending time with them. With the exception of Rank 1 and Rank 10, if you forget to do this even once it’ll set your schedule back— sometimes catastrophically, depending on the confidant. Make sure you’re keeping track of your personae. Reminders will be included when your only opportunity to prep a persona for an event is the night before.
  • However, the Sun and Moon confidants do not require matching personae.
  • This walkthrough is based on normal difficulty— you might find yourself having a hard time keeping up on higher difficulty modes.
  • As it’s not possible to 100% the Thieves Den achievements on your first run, we’ll be guiding you through popping as many of them as possible, but it will not be a main focus like the PS4 trophies.
  • This guide will be running on the assumption that you’re choosing a platonic route with all the romanceable characters to accomodate for everyone— if you find yourself progressing faster with your romanced confidant than the guide plans for, use the extra day as a free slot.
  • HOWEVER, we recommend romancing at least one teammate to acquire the PS4 trophy, even if you decide to reload and proceed with the platonic route.
  • Story-locked confidant ranks will not be included in the monthly exit stats.

All set? Let’s get started.

  • Note that the values below will be based on you having a matching persona in stock.

December

And we arrive on the final playable month of the original game. This month is comprised mainly of finishing off the Moon and Empress confidants, leaving you with a ton of free time to pursue other things. Go ahead and try to get the trophies mentioned in November’s guide if you haven’t already, or focus on strengthening your companions: note that stat boosts from the jazz club carry on over to NG+.

December 1st

  • Daytime: Empress 9
  • 0, 0, 0
  • 3, 2, 3
  • 3, 3, 0
  • 0, 0 (romance)
  • (Platonic only) 0, 2, 0
  • (Romantic only) 0, 2, 2
  • Nighttime: Free night

December 2nd

  • Daytime: Empress Max
  • Nighttime: Take the Twins to the underground mall

December 3rd

  • Daytime: Buy equipment and medicine as needed. Get fortune and alarm readings. Secure infiltration route (Justice Max)
  • Nighttime: Call Kawakami. Free night

(Note: you will be given a pivotal prompt tonight regarding Crow, if you haven’t chosen both of the two conditions earlier. Choosing to forget will lock you out of his ultimate persona in the endgame for good.)

December 4th

  • Daytime: Send calling card. Clear palace.

(Note: The boss has four phases and uses just about every trick in the damn book. Be prepared for both a magical and physical onslaught. Otherwise, it’s just a contest of brute force.

If you find yourself needing to level up more, feel free to pop into Mementos to grind instead and do this on the 5th instead. You’ll be free for most of the rest of December, so pushing the schedule back by one day is not a bid deal at this point.)

  • Nighttime: Call Kawakami. Free night.

(From this point to the end of December, you’ll basically be free every day save for finishing off the Moon confidant at night. Barring a Mementos visit that must be done before December 17th, you can freestyle it from now on. We recommend picking up some room items from confidants or pursuing trophies during the day and concentrating on strengthening your teammates via the jazz club at night.)

December 5th

  • Acquire Mementos mission.
  • Daytime: Free
  • Nighttime: Moon 9

December 6th/7th

  • Free

December 8th

  • Daytime: Free
  • Nighttime: Moon Max

December 9th

  • Daytime: Buy medicine and equipment as needed. Get fortune and alarm readings. Infiltrate Mementos.

(Note: same deal— get all the targets, collect all the stamps if you can, trade in your flowers.)

  • Nighttime: Call Kawakami. Free night.

December 10th – 17th

  • Free day and night.
  • Trader Sakai appears on the 11th: Bought from the supermarket in the Shibuya Underground Mall
  • Home shopping on the 11th: no recommendation

December 18th

  • Daytime: Story segment
  • Nighttime: Free (Leblanc only)

December 19th

  • Daytime: Story segment
  • Nighttime: Free

Finals

Dec. 20th:

  • D
  • Over one billion yen, having his head displayed, a performance

Dec. 21st:

  • Hearts
  • Attend

Dec. 22nd:

  • Japan
  • Dreadnought
  • Daytime & Nighttime: Talk to Sojiro for reward. Last chance to buy medicine and equipment before P5’s original endgame run.

December 23rd

  • Daytime: Story segment
  • Nighttime: Free (Leblanc only)

December 24th

  • Original endgame run/final battle.

(Note: this is going to be a long run. However, if you’ve been collecting all the stamps and upgrading your experience gains and keeping on top of your gear, you shouldn’t be having too much trouble.)
