10 All That

In the 1990s, every kid would gather around their television to laugh at the hilariously goofy sketches on All That. All That was like Saturday Night Live, but for kids. It had an all-star cast including Kel Mitchell, Kenan Thompson, Nick Cannon, Amanda Bynes, and many more.

Amanda Bynes’s role on All That is what rocketed her into stardom as everyone quickly discovered she was one of the favorite cast members. Kids couldn’t wait to see what sketch she would do next whether it was Ask Ashley or Gina of Whateverr! She was so loved that it led to her own comedy sketch series.

9 The Amanda Show

In 1999, at the age of 13 and after three seasons on All That and two seasons on Figure It Out, Amanda proved she was the real star of the Nickelodeon network. Since Amanda’s fan base supported her so much, Nickelodeon gave her her own comedy sketch series simply called The Amanda Show.

The series included sketches like Judge Trudy, So You Want to Win Five Dollars?, and Blockblister. The series lasted for three seasons before Amanda decided it was time to move onto bigger things. The Amanda Show included fan favorites such as Drake Bell and Josh Peck.

After co-starring in All That and having her own show The Amanda Show, Amanda Bynes kept climbing the show business ladder. In 2002, she co-starred in her first big movie role as Kaylee alongside Frankie Muniz as Jason in Big Fat Liar.

The two young friends try to prove that Hollywood producer Marty Wolf, played by Paul Giamatti, stole Jason’s creative writing paper and intends to turn it into a movie without giving Jason any credit through a series of pranks and crazy antics such as dying Marty’s skin blue. The movie became a huge success, earning $53 million at the box office.

7 Daphne in What A Girl Wants

In 2003, Amanda Bynes continued to become a big star as more movie roles started heading her way. Her next major movie character was Daphne in What a Girl Wants which also starred Colin Firth as Henry Dashwood.

American teen Daphne makes the life-altering decision to board a plane and fly to London to meet her father for the first time. Her father Henry Dashwood had no idea she existed but he lovingly welcomes her into his life. Not everyone is thrilled that Daphne has come to find her father as it could seriously jeopardize his political career. While the movie received mixed reviews from critics, Amanda’s fans loved it and it earned over $50 million at the box office.

6 Viola in She’s The Man

Channing Tatum is a major star nowadays as his roles in Step Up, Dear John, and Magic Mike have made him loved by many. But in 2006 he was just getting his start and it’s partially thanks to Amanda Bynes that he became the success he is.

In 2006 alongside Amanda, Channing Tatum starred in She’s The Man, a romantic comedy about a soccer team. Amanda starred as Viola, a girl who is tired of being told she is not as good of a soccer player simply because she’s a girl. Viola is determined to prove she can hang with the boys on the soccer field, which requires her to dress as a boy and join the team. This is made extra difficult by her growing crush on her teammate Duke, played by Channing Tatum.

5 Sydney in Sydney White

Amanda Bynes proved once again why she was the immensely successful teen star she was in the 2007 film, Sydney White. Amanda Bynes starred as Sydney White, a tomboy who gets kicked out of her sorority but instead of feeling defeated she moves in with the other misfits of the campus and turns things upside down.

For the seven outcasts, having some like Sydney in their lives is just what they need as she pushes them to stand up for themselves. The eight of them form a heartwarming bond that had every fan believing that everyone deserves a voice and true friendship. It was a modern retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

4 Holly in What I Like About You

Amanda Bynes proved to be a multitasking pro in the early 2000s as she was not only becoming a movie star but was also continuing to be a TV star. In 2002, Amanda starred in the sitcom What I Like About You as Holly Tyler alongside Jennie Garth as Holly’s older sister Valerie.

Hairspray stole the hearts of many as they watched Tracy, a teenager in 1960s Baltimore, turn her dreams of being on The Corny Collins Show into a reality. Winning her spot on the dance show didn’t come easy and Tracy used her newfound star power for good by bringing racial integration to the show.

2 Marianne in Easy A

With Emma Stone and Amanda Bynes in the same movie, fans knew it was going to be a success. In the 2010 film Easy A, the two stars had fans laughing and also rethinking their gossiping habit. The film centered on innocent high school student Olive, played by Emma Stone, who decides to tell a little lie to make her life sound a bit more interesting.

But when the righteous Marianne, played by Amanda Bynes, hears the lie she quickly spreads it all over the school and the once little white lie takes on a life of its own. Olive, along with everyone in the school, realizes it’s better to be honest and stay true to yourself.

1 Charlotte’s Web 2: Wilbur’s Great Adventure

Besides being a successful movie and TV star, Amanda Bynes is also a talented voice actress which she proved in the 2003 cartoon movie Charlotte’s Web 2: Wilbur’s Great Adventure. Amanda voiced Nellie, one of Charlotte’s daughters.

When a new lamb, Cardigan, joins the farm, Wilbur and Charlotte’s three kids quickly befriend him. But when Cardigan is sold to another farm, the four friends, along with Templeton the rat, must go on a journey to make sure their new wooly friend is happy at his new home. The movie is a sweet addition to the classic story Charlotte’s Web.
