The teen drama is loosely based on the Israeli series of the same name and follows a group of teenagers who have to go through experiences that explore the topics of sex, drug abuse, love, friendship, identity, trauma, and so on.

Stylistically, Euphoria is a feast for the eyes. It is told from the perspective of the seventeen-year-old Rue (played by Zendaya) who returns home after being treated for her drug addiction. What is notable is that the cast of the show is very diverse, but doesn’t forget about narrative and character development.

3 Stranger Things

Of all the shows presented in this article, Stranger Things is probably the most popular one. It is flawed in some senses, but the positive sides outweigh the negative ones which is probably why it has such a huge following and might eventually become a cult classic similar to the unconventional Twin Peaks.

The comedy is brilliant here, but the show also manages to tackle such topics as child-parent relationships, dysfunctional families, sexuality, and so on.

1 The End Of The F***ing World

Did you know that both The End of the F***ing World and I Am Not Okay With This were based on the comics by Charles Forsman and directed by Jonathan Entwistle? The two have a weird sense of humor and follow characters who feel just as weirded out by our world.

Though there is no supernatural spin to The End of the F***ing World, the tone is quite similar to that of I Am Not Okay With This. In fact, because of an Easter Egg placed in the latter with the photos of the two main characters from the former, there have been talks of a potential crossover.
