Nago is one of the strongest monsters in anime that had a vendetta against the humans as Mewtwo and Arceus had in their respective films. Its god-like status before its demonic transformation would convince The Pokémon Company to make it a legendary Pokémon with insane battle potential.

4 Kodama May Look Spooky At First But Would Be Ghost Pokémon People Would Find Cute Rather Than Scary

Although Princess Mononoke’s Kodama creatures resemble some Pokémon that belong in a horror movie, they’d be welcomed additions to a future region’s Pokédex. In the film, the Kodama only appeared when the forest was at its best and loved disappearing and appearing at their convenience.

Although they’d probably receive the ghost or dark typing because of their appearance, they’d be ghost Pokémon people would want to be around, unlike Gengar, who’s known for pranking people randomly. Further, they’d mesh well with the other cute Pokémon the franchise offers, with many fans of spooky yet cute creatures wanting plushies of them.

3 Soot Balls Would Be Another Inanimate Object Yet Cute Creature To Introduce To Pokémon Fans

Despite having roles as servants to a boiler man and sometimes being afraid of creatures larger than them, the Soot Balls would blend well in the Pokémon world alongside other small Pokémon like Cutiefly. These Pokémon could perform similar tasks as shown in the Studio Ghibli movies but for themselves instead of humans.

The Pokémon world’s filled with Pokémon that look like keys and sandcastles, so to have a Pokémon that resembles a dust ball wouldn’t be a questionable decision. Even if they wouldn’t be competitively viable in Pokémon battles, fans love seeing new cute Pokémon.

2 Calcifer Is A Fire Demon With A Fiery Personality Suitable For An Intriguing Pokémon Design

Despite Calcifer’s appearance, he’s known for being a fire demon that loves to demand things be a certain way. During his chatter with Sophie in Howl’s Moving Castle, however, Calcifer’s pushover side comes out as she’s able to put him in his place on many occasions.

Calcifer would be an inanimate object Pokémon with a spunky personality akin to famous Disney characters like Lumière and Cogsworth. He’d love nagging at everything that comes in his path, and The Pokémon Company could apply some of his naggy behaviors into his lore.

1 Teto’s Cute Design & Chemistry With Nausicaa Makes It A Creature Many Would Catch On Their Pokémon Journey

When looking at Teto’s design and comparing it to Pokémon like Pikachu, Furret, and others, it will make many contemplate why it’s not a Pokémon. Teto’s backstory in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind sounds similar to Pikachu’s history with Ash, as it took time to bond with Nausicaa.

Further, Teto could serve as a staple Pokémon for one of Ash’s future companions and would learn to form a bond with its master as it does with Nausicaa in the film. Regardless of one’s feelings of Teto’s inclusion in that film, many wouldn’t be upset if Teto were to become a Pokémon.
