Heroes like Thor, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and Sentry prove that some of Marvel’s most powerful characters have served on the team. However, there is a good argument that Hulk is the most powerful Avenger of them all.

The war of words has always been there, with Hulk and Thor constantly arguing about who is the team’s most powerful member. The battles are there as well, with every member of the Avengers fighting Hulk at one time or another. In the end, it almost always rings true that Hulk is the strongest of the Avengers.

10 Hulk Has Unlimited Stamina

Hulk has unlimited stamina when involved in a fight. When battling alongside most members of the team, his fellow Avengers have limits to their peak-level performance. People like Captain America and Iron Man have to stop and rest and almost everyone grows weaker when they grow tired.

Hulk’s stamina is so strong that he has battled non-stop for weeks without showing any fatigue. Hulk’s stamina was labeled as unlimited by a Sentinel when examining his power levels, so even against a being of equal power, Hulk could outlast them in a fight. Thor and Sentry might be the only Avengers who could match this level.

9 Hulk Strength Has No Limitations

There are no limitations to how strong Hulk is. His power allows him to gain in strength the angrier he becomes. This is something that makes Hulk different than most other Marvel gamma-powered characters, and it is due to his rage making him stronger.

In Marvel Comics, it has been shown that there is limitless physical strength that Hulk builds up in battle, and at some point he will go full rage, losing all control, and have an infinite level of strength. Some heroes fear he could knock the Earth out of orbit if he gains enough strength without calming down. Not even the Avenger Thor has this level of strength.

8 Hulk Has Resistance To Psychics

There is a lot about Hulk’s powers and abilities that even scientists can’t understand. One thing that helps Hulk in his battles is that he is resistant to psychics. At one point in his life, some people manipulated him, including one of Hulk’s first supervillains he fought in comics, the Ringmaster.

However, Hulk gained more strength in his mind over time and he is now able to keep people out of his head, including telepaths like Professor X. The overpowered Avenger Sentry made the entire world forget he existed, but Hulk still remembered him.

7 Regeneration Abilities

Hulk not only has unlimited stamina to keep up in a fight, but his body heals instantly from anything that damages him. Wolverine’s claws among other things can pierce Hulk’s skin, but much like the mutant warrior, Hulk heals almost instantly from any injury.

His body can come back from any injury, no matter how bad. In Hulk: The End, he was the last being on Earth and mutant cockroaches ate him completely. He regenerated and returned to life after that, proving no one can ever put him down in a fight. No other Avenger has this powerful of a regeneration power.

6 Hulk Is Relentless

Hulk will never give up. He is a relentless powerhouse and that was no more evident than it was with Worldbreaker Hulk in World War Hulk. In that series, Hulk was in a rage after the death of his wife and he wanted to make the Illuminati who banished him pay.

Hulk arrived on Earth and proceeded to tear through the strongest heroes there, including Black Bolt, Iron Man, Captain America, Reed Richards, and he even withstood Sentry, the only person the Avengers believed could stop him. Hulk never relented and beat everyone as a result.

5 Hulk Never Overthinks In Battle

The problem with most of the Avengers is that they overthink situations. Iron Man is one of the Earth’s smartest heroes, and coming up with plans helps him. However, he is also full of self-doubt at times. Other Avengers often strategize in battles and are smart enough to often make the right decisions.

Hulk is a rage-fuelled monster who just sets off after a villain and fights without abandon. In The Avengers movie, Captain America understood this. He simply looked at Hulk and said “Hulk Smash,” knowing that was all the green goliath needed to hear to tear through every alien in New York City.

4 Hulk Fears No Man

Hulk is not scared of anyone. There was a moment in Avengers: Infinity War where he seemed scared to come out after Thanos beat him. However, that moment is not a true characteristic of Hulk as in the comics, he fears no man.

Hulk will go into battle with The Thing, Thor, or the entire Avengers, and not even think twice about it. Some heroes would turn and run, but the MCU did him right in Thor: Ragnarok when Hulk even lept at Surtur to fight, knowing he was powerful enough to beat anyone.

3 Hulk Has Incredible Durability

There are some things that can hurt Hulk, but the only things that take him out are when someone uses a gamma attack on him, or in one battle when Wolverine jammed his adamantium claws into Hulk’s brain, taking him out instantly.

However, even those attacks are only temporary and Hulk returns sooner than later to seek revenge. Outside of sneak attacks such as those, no one can beat Hulk one on one in a fair fight because no one can pierce his skin without it immediately healing, as no one is strong enough to severely damage the Green Goliath.

2 Hulk’s Rage Makes Him Unbeatable

Hulk has a rage that increases his strength to unlimited levels. This rage was caused by childhood trauma. Bruce Banner was born a highly intelligent boy, but his father believed that this made him a freak and that the brains meant there was something wrong with him.

Brian Banner abused Bruce and killed his mom, which caused the young man to develop dissociative identity disorder. This is why Hulk and Banner are different people. Hulk is the rage that Banner could never express and that rage is limitless, which makes Hulk impossible for anyone to beat.

1 Hulk Is Immortal

The biggest reason that Hulk is the strongest Avenger of them all is that he is immortal. The closest that anyone comes to Hulk is Thor. However, even Norse gods can die, as Odin has shown and when a god dies, the next in line steps up.

Hulk can’t die. There is a realm called the Below Place where the gamma mutates go when they die, and there is a Green Door that allows them to return to life. In Hulk: The End, he showed he will one day be the last living thing on Earth, and even when Bruce Banner dies, Hulk will continue living, the most powerful being on Earth.
