Regardless of how talented, smart, and emotionally resilient this kid is, he is still a kid. Not to mention, a grieving kid who just lost his mom. This kid deserves a weekend in Orlando, Florida with an unlimited pass to Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, Disney World, and Sea World. Considering that this is an old-school mythological land, these places probably did not exist, but Kratos should find an equivalent.

Developers and others attached to the game made it a point talk about how much better this game would run on the PS4 Pro. Many noticed that the graphics between the two are not so different that it warrants buying a whole new system. He is a dad now, and since he is a dad, we have to imagine him doing “dad things,” which includes diaper changing. Can anyone really imagine him doing this with a straight face? The only thing more cringe-worthy coming up is his duty of having “the talk,” with Atreus as he grows into a hormonal teenager. If only we could be a fly on the wall.

You took on the task of taking out most of the other team single-handedly, so you deserve the title. So, simply…who needs the Blades of Chaos when you have kids. However, this meme takes on a whole new meaning when you think about how Atreus plays into his dad’s combat efforts.
For most of the game, Kratos is using his son as a weapon instead of his trusty Blades of Chaos. Atreus is helping to take out trolls, Valkyries, and other angry gods. Kratos does not miss a beat with the help of his son. It gets to the point where Atreus may even be better to use. While Atreus is pretty cool, we cannot forget the fact that he is a kid, and there are times where it feels like Kratos is using him for help instead of teaching him combat. So, the message of the meme stands true.

What is more dangerous than fighting a troll, dodging a Valkyrie, or avoiding Odin’s ever watchful eye? Try fatherhood. It could be argued that his attempt to be a father is more dangerous than the battles he has with other enemies. How many times during the game where we left having all the feels regarding Atreus’ desire for his father’s affection? Also, let’s not forget Kratos’ acknowledgment of him as “Boy,” instead of his name. Kratos is dealing with a lot of internal issues that prevent him from being a caring dad, and Atreus is grasping at straws after his mother’s untimely death. Whew! Fatherhood ain’t no joke.
12 Some Striking Similarities
Many people have noticed the similarities with the brutal world of God of War and the light-hearted A Goofy Movie. It may seem as if they have nothing in common, but that could not be further from the truth. In both stories, the father and son are trying to make it to a destination, they undergo extreme challenges, and both parties misunderstand one another. For the newbies, and those who may not have seen this movie, this was the only time in the film that Goofy became seriously angry.

It is funny and interesting that the creator of this meme chose to pick this specific scene. You can easily see that Max is uncertain about his dad, much like Atreus feels throughout the game. Seeing the lovable Goofy looking like Kratos at this moment is striking and hilarious. It adds another layer to his anger during this scene.
11 Let’s Get Patched Up
Whoa! What in the world is going on here? How did it come to this point? It looks like Atreus got a bit tired of Kratos forgetting his name and took out his frustrations on him. This led to the mundane looking father and son having to get check out at the hospital. We hate to say it, but we are kind of glad that Atreus stood up for himself. It isn’t cool for a dad to be a bully, and we like the fact that Atreus had enough. Unfortunately, he went a little further than he thought and put one of Freya’s arrows right into his dad’s upper chest.
Kratos is a god so he can take it, but we can imagine him with a mixture of anger and awe at his son’s boldness. The fact that this is staged in a regular-looking hospital with a nurse coming in to grab them is utterly hilarious. Kratos has gained a little weight in the meantime, and Atreus doesn’t look too happy. We may never know the exact details of how they ended up here, but the possible amount of stories that could be behind their reason for visiting is so funny we cannot even breathe.
10 Hank And Bobby
Let’s stop and take a look at this image for a second. How hilarious does Hank look with the body of Kratos? No matter how tough it seems, Hank will always look like he couldn’t harm a fly. Meanwhile, Bobby is giving that blank stare he always gives when he is thinking way too hard about something. This meme is an excellent representation of their relationship and the struggles that Hank often runs into when dealing with his curious son. While Hank is not as bad as Kratos, he is not the most emotionally available dad.

Every game has a lasting legacy and is likely remembered for something the developers did not intend for it to. In this case, this game will likely go down in history as one of the first games to realistically portray a troubled relationship between a father and son. Yes, the fighting is cool, and the nods to the original series are impeccable. However, the emotional battle between Atreus and Kratos will not be forgotten. It will likely come up in any later installments in the series.

This meme has come up in other iterations. It usually is the real Drake doing his “Hotline Bling,” thing to show his distaste for one thing, and the smug face after that shows his approval. Here, someone went the extra mile and created Drake as Kratos. Can we focus on that for a second? Drake doesn’t look too bad as the Spartan warrior. We would have stood up and cheered if Atreus clapped back one time and decided to demand his father say his name. The result probably would not have been favorable for Atreus, but we would have appreciated him standing up for himself.

Regardless of their offerings, the consensus is that they cannot come close to PS4.
