We’ve heard quite a bit about Halo Infinite so far, from the system requirements to run the game to how the Battle Pass progression will work by completing challenges as opposed to gaining XP. But one noticeable missing link has been that 343 Industries has yet to show off Halo infinite’s campaign, which has left many frustrated and impatient. Fans expected to see gameplay for the campaign during Gamescom, but unfortunately were only met with the release date, as no such gameplay was shown.

Though this has left fans feeling ignored, it turns out that 343 Industries is not just disregarding people’s wishes. There is a legitimate reason it hasn’t revealed any details about the campaign. According to Halo Infinite’s head of creative, campaign gameplay hasn’t been showcased yet because the team has had to focus on shutdown mode. He explains this below:

Everybody wants to see campaign, especially campaign gameplay. We will absolutely show campaign gameplay before launch, but we just need to stay focused on shutdown mode. Once we’re past that hurdle, we’re going to be going after things like gameplay captures and trailers, that will all be coming a little bit closer to launch.

This statement was from a recent development update and confirms that we will be getting some gameplay footage from the campaign before launch at least, although we aren’t sure exactly when that will be happening.

In other Halo news, we can always rely on scalpers to ruin the experience for everyone else. Almost immediately after the Halo Series X Consoles were released, they sold out, and we found that they were already up on sites like eBay, selling for thousands of dollars. The console is wrapped in dark metallic paneling with a gold accent and comes with a free digital copy of Halo Infinite, so it became popular with fans instantaneously. If you’re one of few who got their hands on this before the scalpers got to them, consider yourself quite lucky.
