What would satisfy Bakugo most about Arcanine is its intimidating personality, as Aracanine’s bark will make its enemies cower in fear. Considering how Bakugo loves to feel superior over others and wishes to become a dominant hero figure, Arcanine’s attitude would blend well with his.

A Pokémon that couldn’t defeat a Titan if it tried and one that Bakugo wouldn’t want on his team is Rattata. Although the Rattata species may have sharp teeth capable of serious harm, their cowardly nature would anger Bakugo moreso than gain acceptance from the hotheaded hero.

Rattata’s ability emphasizes their cowardly nature, considering it allows the creature to flee any battle. In addition, the Rattata species love to bond and be around their kind— and considering Bakugo’s personality, he wouldn’t let his Rattata be very social.

8 He Would Want: Garchomp Because They Can Fly & Are Deadly Predators

Although Garchomp isn’t strong enough to take down Superman, its strength and attitude would excite Bakugo immensely and he’d demand it joined his team. The Garchomp species are fierce predators in the Pokémon franchise and tend to scour the skies searching for smaller Pokémon to eat.

Not only that, but the Garchomp species are capable fighters whether in their mega evolved or regular-form. Having sharp claws that can harm opponents with ease and the ability to fly will excite Bakugo immensely, considering how action-heavy he tends to be. Therefore, regardless of Garchomp’s scary appearance, Bakugo wouldn’t hesitate to catch one.

7 He Would Not Want: Meowth Because They’re More Scavengers Than Fighters

Meowth’s not only a Pokémon Eren Yeager wouldn’t want on his team, but it’s one Bakugo wouldn’t give the time of day either. Despite the Meowth species having high intelligence and abilities that’ll help Bakugo gain a lot of wealth, he wouldn’t find a use for one on the battlefield.

Essentially, Bakugo would want to seek a Pokémon that’s as battle-hungry as he is. Meowth likes to scavenge areas for shiny objects moreso than do battle, and Bakugo isn’t looking for that.

6 He Would Want: Tyranitar Because They’re Intimidating, Battle-Hungry Creatures

Tyranitar isn’t only a creature featured in one of the best Pokémon Sun and Moon battles, but its destructive power and attitude would convince Bakugo to want one on his team. Tyranitar has a thrill for fighting like Bakugo and has rough skin that makes them impenetrable to specific attacks.

Tyranitar doesn’t like fighting individuals they deem weak, much like Bakugo, and will give their opponent a battle of a lifetime if they find them worthy of their presence. Considering the type of person Bakugo is, he wouldn’t turn a blind eye toward Tyranitar if permitted to catch it.

5 He Would Not Want: Spearow Because They’re Weak Without A Group To Back Them Up

Spearow is not only a Pokémon Ash can defeat with his hands, but it’s also a creature Bakugo would find to be an annoyance rather than an ally on his team. As a group, the Spearow species can deliver harsh attacks toward their enemies, as shown in the earlier seasons of the Pokémon anime.

On the other hand, these Pokémon aren’t that powerful by themselves and, upon finding a threat, will immediately fly off to go find help rather than just going on the attack. This tactic, alongside its desire to hunt small insect Pokémon, will only make Bakugo want to fight one himself.

4 He Would Want: Blaziken Because They’re Strong Fire Pokemon With Great Martial Arts Skills

Blaziken isn’t only a creature featured in a lot of adoring fire Pokémon fanart, but its firepower and combat skills will impress Bakugo. Although the Blaziken species are bi-pedal chickens, once Bakugo witnesses their superb fighting techniques and abilities, he’ll think twice referring to it as such.

Blaziken’s excellent lower body strength allows it to be quick on its feet and in the air when it jumps. In addition, the Blaziken species are fighters and develop their martial arts style while training. To witness this style in person, Bakugo will want a Blaziken on his team.

3 He Would Not Want: Parasect Because Of How Easy They Are To Immobilize & Their Constant Need For Nutrients

Despite having a signature move that can put foes to sleep, Bakugo may not find Parasect to be a great candidate for his team. Although these Pokémon can fight, the Parasect species have many downfalls that wouldn’t make them appealing to Bakugo.

For instance, Parasect will become immobile if the large mushroom on their back is removed. Furthermore, this Pokémon tends to move around a lot to drain trees of their nutrients to replenish themselves. With these glaring flaws in mind, Bakugo wouldn’t want a Parasect.

2 He Would Want: Banette Because They Hold Intense Grudges & Don’t Give Up Until They’ve Had Their Revenge

A ghost-type Pokémon whose appearance alone will interest Bakugo to want one on his team is Banette. Although it may look creepy to individuals who hang out with Bakugo, he wouldn’t care too much about their opinions after hearing about the Banette species origin.

Banette holds grudges against those who’ve wronged it or even just looked down on it. The Banette species will search for these individuals to make them pay for their actions. Considering how Bakugo is known for holding some grudges and doesn’t take kindly to those who ridicule him, he may find common-ground with Banette and mentor the Pokémon.

1 He Would Not Want: Jigglypuff Because Of Their Neediness & Behavioral Issues

Despite being a fluffy pink Pokémon that can put a group of people to sleep with their charming voice, Bakugo would refuse to have a Jigglypuff on his team. For instance, the Jigglypuff species depend on their foes’ attention at all times and will resort to suffocating itself if it doesn’t get its way.

Jigglypuff will continue to sing until its opponent falls asleep and draws on individuals’ faces if taking the anime’s interpretation into account. Not only will Bakugo despise having to give Jigglypuff attention whenever it wants it, but if he woke up after a nap and saw marks on his face, he’d explode.
