Steven has lied to Alina throughout their entire relationship, and fans are annoyed he thinks he can win her back with presents.
In a recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Steven and Alina’s storyline took a turn when she said “yes” to Steven’s proposal. The positive response stunned viewers, especially after Alina confronted Steven about still flirting with other women. TLC viewers watched as Steven reluctantly deleted his Instagram account while trying every trick in the book not to. Steven earned himself a bad rap from day one. Since the season began, he’s tried to convert Alina and her mother while spouting out hypocritical nonsense. Fans have lost faith in him and feel Alina should cut her losses and run.
90 Day Fiancé fans took to social media to share their disgust after Steven gifted Alina a song and the Book of Mormon. In a lengthy Reddit post, user srose89 wrote, “Did he really say he brought gifts to strategically give to Alina in times when they are fighting? I guess he came prepared in case his other manipulation tactics failed. Gross.” TLC fans argued that he came across as manipulative even though he thought he was clever. Steven’s childish and arrogant ways look like they may soon be his downfall, but right now, Alina is still under his whimsical spell.
Steven hasn’t figured out that he is not winning when it comes to being the man of the year. 90 Day Fiancé followers feel he was using the Book of Mormon in an effort to absolve himself of all his wrongdoings. The last straw for many was that he left a page blank so he could apologize for his future indiscretions. Steven’s romantic move was called into question after he noted he likes to give Alina gifts at times when they are most meaningful.
