Robert and Anny met online in 2019. They met for the first time in person when Robert, from Winter Park Florida, booked a cruise that had a one day stopover in Anny’s hometown in the Dominican Republic. Robert proposed within eight hours of meeting Anny, and she accepted. The two moved to Florida, where their relationship got rocky. Robert, a 41-year-old rideshare driver, expected Anny, 30, to be a stay at home wife and take care of his son. Anny expected to be given expensive gifts and have a more luxurious life. Robert was a single dad to his young son, Bryson, when he met Anny. But what she didn’t know is that he actually had five children from four different women. Robert also didn’t see any of his other children very often. This was very concerning for Anny, but Robert promised that he had been a player before he met her, but wanted to settle down. Despite these issues, the couple got married on the season finale.
After the show, Robert and Anny were on 90 Day Fiance: Pillow Talk, where they gave their commentary on 90 Day Fiancê: The Other Way. Fans loved the couple on the show because of how funny they were. However, they had to leave in the middle of the season because Anny gave birth to their first child. She announced she was pregnant in April, and gave birth to a daughter in July. “Welcome to the world my princess,” she said in a statement to TLC per Entertainment Tonight, “I am filled with love and happiness to have you in my life.” The show’s official Instagram announced the birth of Brenda Aliyah on July 29.
The couple met some controversy for choosing not to show their daughter’s face on Instagram. Anny explained to fans on Instagram that she would only show her daughter’s face online after her baptism. “I want to present my baby to God first,” she replied to a fan asking whether they would get to see the child. While she hasn’t yet posted any pictures of her daughter’s face directly, she posted sweet photos of her family celebrating Christmas on her Instagram story with a profile shot of Brenda Aliyah.
