A Plague Tale: Requiem, the highly-anticipated sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, is expected to release sometime later this year. While no specific release date has been announced, the game is now available for preorder. This preorder will offer players a bunch of digital exclusives and bonuses when the game does launch. Plus, a newly announced Collector’s Edition offers several physical goodies like a resin statue and limited-edition art.

Pre-orders are now available exclusively through Focus Entertainment’s digital storefront. The Standard Edition, which is available on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X, will cost $49.99 and will net you several bonuses including The Protector Pack digital bundle. This offers players a new crossbow skin (The Red Damsel), bonus crafting materials, and 13 exclusive cosmetics for Amicia.

Meanwhile, the Collector’s Edition costs $189.99 and is also available for PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X. This edition includes several physical items including a finely detailed 8” resin statue of protagonists Amicia and Hugo. It also offers a metal replica of Hugo’s feather brooch, a vinyl of the game’s soundtrack offering two tracks by composer Olivier Deriviere, three exclusive lithographs, and a copy of the game. Plus, those who order this edition will receive exclusive box covers and all the preorder bonuses from the Standard Edition.

Focus Home Entertainment and developer Asobo Studio announced the sequel early last summer alongside Microsoft who revealed it would be on Game Pass at launch. With just a couple of trailers out for the game, not much is known about what players can expect…except, of course, a ton of rats. However, the few previews that the game has revealed show off some improved graphics and a more expansive world ready to be explored and attacked in.

When A Plague Tale: Innocence launched back in 2019, it was digital-only. The game did not receive a physical copy until late last year, and then it was only for next-gen consoles. The popularity of the first game seems to have changed how the studio tackles this sequel’s release.
