A3: Still Alive, the new MMORPG from Netmarble, hasn’t even been on the market for a month and is already receiving its first sizable update. As of today, you’ll be able to explore a new region, work towards a new level cap, and dive deep into a new dungeon.

The new area in A3: Still Alive is called Metium – a sprawling port city with a set of additional Main Quests waiting for you. The additional quests will help you reach the new level cap of 120, up from 100. If you’d rather farm items than duke it out in battle royale-like PvP, then head over to S.S. Ivan’s Conquest, a location that is safe from other players and perfect for farming.

Netmarble is also bringing one on one duels to its mobile MMO. You’ll now be able to place a flag next to your opponent to declare a friendly dual. Netmarble says this is a great way to engage in low-stakes battles, as the results have no bearing on your PvP rank.

An entirely new system, the Shu System, awaits you when you log in to A3: Still Alive. This new feature lets you collect different birds – Shu, as A3 calls them – for your character, each of which helps raise your Combat Power. Shu can be found from Dark Invasions or in the Battle Royale mode – be sure to check this out right away to quickly increase your CP.

A handful of other changes were made with this first update. There’s a new world boss – Metius, the Mighty Bird of Metium – max equipment level has been increased, new passive skills are available at level 120, and Shiland Mine has a new difficulty level. A full list of changes can be found on both Google Play and the App Store.

Mobile MMORPGs are all the rage these days, and A3: Still Alive joins a crowded marketplace. Black Desert Mobile, Lineage 2: Revolution, and even RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are among the most popular options, but it’s clear Netmarble has big plans for the future of A3.
