For its July 2020 Xbox Series X Games Showcase, Microsoft finally gave fans a detailed look at some of its upcoming first-party games. In addition to several world premieres seen at the Xbox Series X event, Microsoft promised a long-awaited Halo Infinite campaign gameplay reveal.
Microsoft’s Xbox 20/20 game reveal event disappointed fans earlier this year with a lack of real gameplay and no exclusive games. Though the company hadn’t explicitly said either would be the focus, a Microsoft marketing executive admitted the company “set some wrong expectations.” This time, Microsoft teased an hour-long showcase focused only on Xbox games, not technical announcements or other information, and the promise of Halo Infinite gameplay pointed to an emphasis on first-party titles.
Following Sony’s impressive PS5 game reveal last month, Microsoft had much to prove leading into its July showcase. To see whether the company succeeded, read on for every game reveal, gameplay video, and trailer shown off at the Xbox Series X event.
All Gameplay & Trailers From Microsoft’s Xbox Series X Games Showcase
The following lists contain every game shown off at Microsoft’s event, both in the pre-show and during the showcase proper. Xbox-exclusive titles are bolded, though Microsoft has already announced first-party Series X games will be cross-gen for at least a year. Many are also coming to PC, so none of these are true Xbox Series X exclusives unless otherwise stated. Follow any linked text for trailers and other information about those specific games. Every game following and including Halo Infinite is coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Besides the aforementioned and much-hyped Halo Infinite reveal, surprise highlights from the showcase include smaller titles like Hello Neighbor 2 and BALAN WONDERWORLD, both revealed in the pre-show. Xbox fans likely appreciate seeing something a bit more low-key than the traditional, big-budget games like Halo, as much as Master Chief’s return heralds a return to form for Microsoft’s flagship shooter series. The company gave an impressive showing at today’s event, but it remains to be seen how all these games will stack up to Sony’s first-party PS5 exclusives.
UPDATE: A previous version of this article labeled what Microsoft called “Console Launch Exclusive” games as limited-time console exclusives, but Microsoft subsequently revealed at least one of these – The Gunk – will be a full-on exclusive, despite the carefully worded label. The article has been updated to use Microsoft’s official language, instead.
