Avatar Aang, the master of all four elements, is quite the strong challenger. The Last Airbender star has a lot of tricks up his sleeve, meaning that if he was sent to the world of Pokémon, he’d fare pretty well, being able to take down his enemies. Still, there are likely some creatures that he would lose to as well.

10 Defeat: Eiscue

This odd little penguin might defend itself by having an entire block of ice on its head at all times, but that’s not going to help it when going up against Aang. Aang will be able to melt the ice block right off of its head, and then its defenses would be severely limited. It’s also just not quite strong enough to take Aang on in general, it’s going to be outclassed pretty easily.

9 Lose To: Beedrill

It might come as a surprise, but Beedrill would likely be able to take down Aang, for a few different reasons. For one, it can fly very quickly, meaning that it will be hard to hit with any sort of bending. Beyond that, as long as it can prevent Aang manipulating the wind and get in close, it can poison the Avatar, putting him down for the count.

8 Defeat: Flareon

Flareon might be quite strong when it comes to the power of fire, but beyond that, it doesn’t have any real tricks to take Aang out.

Once Flareon is met with Aang’s water, earth, and airbending, it’s going to be taken out pretty quickly, as Aang has a huge elemental advantage over it, along with more ways to take out the Pokémon in general. It won’t be a long fight.

7 Lose To: Espeon

On the other side of the Eeveelutions, however, is Espeon, who would win the match against Aang. The thing about Espeon is that the Psychic-type creature will be able to redirect most of Aang’s bending before he knows it’s happening. While it will have to be light on its feet to avoid Aang’s earthbending, overall Espeon can likely wear the Avatar down and take him out in time.

6 Defeat: Tyranitar

Tyranitar is known as one of the strongest Pokémon out there, but that’s not going to matter, as it will never be able to get close enough to Aang to show off all of that power.

Tyranitar is a fighter, and it’s also a Rock-type Pokémon. With that in mind, Aang can keep away from Tyranitar while using waterbending on it, and from there, it will be whittled down pretty easily.

5 Lose To: Gardevoir

Gardevoir is going to be in a similar position to Espeon, using its telekinetic powers to keep Aang’s powers at bay and itself safe during the duration of the fight. Gardevoir is known to be incredibly powerful, even having the ability to open black holes if absolutely necessary.

Powers like that aren’t going to be needed, but it’s at an overall power level that Aang won’t be able to handle.

4 Defeat: Darmanitan

Darmanitan is a strong Fire-type that has the ability to turn into what is essentially a statue when it’s in danger, but none of these features will keep it safe in a fight against Aang. Waterbending is going to exploit this Pokémon’s main weakness in a fight, and once it turns into its statue form, Aang can simply fling it into the water and be done with it.

3 Lose To: Giratina

Giratina has ghostly powers on its side, which means that when it’s in a fight against Aang, it will be able to avoid essentially all of his bending. It will be incredibly hard to hit. Giratina also has a ton of power of its own, meaning that it will hit Aang hard. With Aang having no real defensive or offensive strength in this battle, he’s going to lose this one pretty quickly.

2 Defeat: Aurorus

Avatar The Last Airbender 5 Pokémon Aang Could Defeat (& 5 Hed Lose To)

Aurorus might look like a pretty impressive Pokémon at first, but it has a pretty problematic typing for battle, especially when it comes to taking on Aang. Aurorus is a dual Ice- and Rock-typing, meaning that both water and firebending are going to be very effective against it. Aang won’t even have to use his other two bending skills before he takes down this huge Pokémon. This one won’t be much of a fight at all.

1 Lose To: Guzzlord

Guzzlord is a huge Ultra Beast that is from another world, Aang’s bending is going to do that much against this Pokémon. It is huge and powerful, and while it might take quite a few strong hits from Aang due to not having all that much speed, it will be able to absorb those hits and fire back with just as much power. The two would likely have a pretty long fight, but Guzzlord will be able to take the win, even without a ton of speed on its side.
