Over the years, Below Deck has had its fair share of mean girls. Whether fans loved them or hated them, they always caused some type of drama with the other crew members.

When the Bravo franchise first began in 2013, the chief steward was always seen as the catty one in the crew. The chief stew tends to get the burnt of the hate, as they are always the ones telling everyone what to do and how to do it.

However, despite intentionally being mean or rude to the crew, the chief stew tends to garner the most love from the fans. Hannah Ferrier from Below Deck Mediterranean was a fan favorite during her five-year tenure on the show, as was Kate Chastain, who was on the Below Deck series for six seasons. While the mean girls tend to get hate from viewers, they get a lot of praise too.

Jenna MacGillivray

During Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1, Jenna was definitely the mean girl of the season. Not only was she rude to her second and third stew, Madison Stalker and Georgia Grobler, but she also rolled her eyes at them whenever they had a question regarding the job. Jenna received quite a bit of backlash for her behavior during the season and finally apologized to her stews during the reunion.

Francesca Rubi

Along with Jenna, Francesca from season 8 was not only disliked by fans during Below Deck season 8 but also by the crew. She and second stew Elizabeth Frankini butted heads the entire season, as Francesa believed her stew was always slacking off. While Elizabeth did mess up more than once, Francesca’s breaking point occurred when Elizabeth slept in the primary cabin with deckhand James Hough. Crew members have done this multiple times on this show and other Below Deck franchises. Viewers were mainly on Elizabeth’s side in this situation, as Francesa seemed to have it out for the stew the entire season.

Kate Chastain

Despite Kate being a fan favorite, she wasn’t liked by many of the crew members. One of the most memorable “mean girl” moments by Kate occurred when she and second stew Josiah Carter pushed third stew Caroline Bedol out of her cabin by blasting loud music at her door during season 6. Even Andy Cohen was shocked Kate would do something like that to a fellow crewmate. While Kate felt bad about what she did, she ultimately didn’t regret taunting Caroline.

Heather Chase

Heather and her second stew Fraser Olender were called out for being mean girls after the most recent episode of Below Deck season 9. Some fans thought Heather and Fraser teamed up against third stew Jessica Albert, calling her out for her miserable attitude. Fraser brought it up to Heather, and she noticed it as well. When new chief stew Heather brought this to Jessica’s attention, the third stew revealed her grandmother recently had a procedure, which brought down her spirits However, Heather and Fraser continued to put Jessica down.
