Black Desert Mobile has incorporated a mobile-exclusive camping feature. Camp’s a place for adventurers to grow a working community, store extra goods, and recuperate from travels while being revered as royalty by the workers. Adventurers return to Camp often throughout travels in order to handle managerial tasks and ensure productivity while away.

Only adventurers who’ve defeated the first boss, Red Nose are eligible for a camp deed from Princess Jarette. For only adventurers who’ve accomplished noble deeds are worthy of governing a Camp.

Upon the first time entering Camp, the Black Spirit briefly explains the interface and how to navigate. The Manage Mode is best for editing the Camp layout and managing buildings from a birds-eye view. The normal view allows adventurers to roam their Camp, interact with workers, and manage buildings.

Buildings

Camp initially consists of eight buildings. The Town Hall stationed in the center is the nucleus for overall Camp growth. Upgrade Town Hall to increase the maximum number and level of buildings your Camp can hold. Town Hall upgrades also increase the maximum amount of workers and enables campground expansions. Upon upgrading to level 2, Town Hall will begin earning Camp Funds which may be collected daily.

There are also Storage and Food Storage facilities along with a Stable to board Wild Horses tamed by the adventurer. Here, adventurers may select a horse to ride throughout their travels, equip horses with Barding (outfits), and review Bond perks and Skills. Adventurers may also breed horses within the Stable. Breeding combines two horses of maximum levels and exchanges them for a horse of a higher tier. Horse levels may be increased simply by riding and utilizing their skillset throughout adventures.

There’s a Rush Board posted within Camp, allowing adventurers to battle bosses in a line-up of rematches. Rush Passes are required and may be obtained by exchanging three Boss Stamps. Rush Passes randomly apply to a boss previously defeated in the main questline. Rush Board battles tier in difficulty each time they are defeated and boast greater rewards which consist of various currency, Black Stones, and experience. For adventurers who are still battle-hungry, there are also Ancient Ruins on the campground that host multiplayer raids.

The Garden, near the Stables, utilizes seeds acquired throughout adventuring to grow food and sustain workers. Food is required for workers to complete most tasks around Camp.

Hiring and Managing Workers

The Pub is the final building found within the Camp during players’ first visit, and its patrons are eager to work. A selection of three potential workers reset every so often and their skill levels vary. A worker’s abilities are depicted by a color-tier. Workers with a grey (neutral) title may only attain a maximum level of 10. Green titles allow a max level of 20, Blue titles level 30, Purple level 40, and so on. Workers can be hired by spending Contribution Points (CP). CP is refunded upon a worker’s termination. Adventurers may hire up to six workers to start and two base-level workers are supplied with the deed to the Camp.

The main control panel at the bottom of the screen allows adventurers to govern workers and send them on gathering and building missions. A workers’ level, happiness, loyalty, and current mission may be viewed under the “Manage Workers” tab. Tapping on the worker’s photo will detail their proficiencies which consist of Vitality, Strength, and Dexterity. Each stat is given a numerical value which affects the worker’s performance in various missions. Adventurers may also “Promote” eligible workers from their detail page. Promotions raise level caps, allowing the worker to advance through the next tier.

There is also the option to “Meet” workers, causing the adventurer to approach them in normal mode. This opens a panel with options to “Give Gifts”, boost stats by “Talking” or increase happiness by “Encouraging.”

There are five types of Gathering tasks for workers to complete. Gathering collects various materials needed for building upgrades and crafting. Foraging gathers herbs for potion making and more. Logging and Mining accrue wood and various ores respectively. These are a priority as they are required for Camp upgrades and crafting. Fishing is another means of acquiring food required for missions. “World Gathering” includes missions with a longer time requirement, however they yield more resources.

Workers can also construct additional buildings within the Camp. Unlock Buildings by defeating new bosses and upgrading Town Hall. Lodgings are a top priority as they enable the adventurer to house more workers. The Alchemy lab should also be constructed early on as it’s a requirement for a Town Hall upgrade and enables workers to brew potions. A Refinery is constructed during the Camp tutorial to teach building mechanics. Refineries automatically produce Black Stones for enhancing equipment, but also allow adventurers to craft them manually using materials.

Black Desert Mobile’s camping feature helps progress immensely and provides a fun reprieve from adventuring. Farming resources is highly efficient and able-bodied workers keep their sovereign adventurers prepared for the next journey.
