Borderlands 3 is full of guns that make references to various pop culture icons. Here’s where you can find all the ones we know about.

Back in Borderlands 1, Gearbox started a running gag that would extend throughout the franchise. Any legendary or unique weapon found in a Borderlands game has a story, and most of those stories are stolen straight out of the real world. Borderlands 3 is no different–in fact, it seems to have dialed up the references to the point where that’s basically every gun you find.

There’s also a lot of guns in this game. We’re about two weeks from the game’s release so we’re still finding new guns and gear to giggle about. Here’s a list of all the funny funs we’ve found so far, courtesy of GameRant.

Jericho (Iron Man)

This one is a bit deep, so let’s start from the beginning. In the 2008 Iron Man movie, Tony Stark is in war-torn Afghanistan to demonstrate a brand new missile called the “Jericho.” Then he gets ambushed by terrorists, escapes by making a tiny fusion reactor and embedding it in his chest as a nuclear-powered pacemaker, and then makes an exoskeletal rocket man suit out of random junk just lying around.

Okay, that’s paraphrasing a bit, but that’s the gist of it. The red text is a reference to Stark’s famous (almost) last words, “I prefer weapons you only have to fire once.”

So far, the Jericho is a random drop from any suitable loot source, so good luck finding it.

Superball (Mario)

Wanna feel like you’re an Italian plumber even though you’re playing a Borderlands game? Look no further than the Superball, a goofy little Maliwan gun that gives you the power of flower.

The gun is exactly like grabbing a fire flower from Mario, complete with bouncing balls of flame and that stupid sound effect. It’s not exactly the most powerful, accurate, or effective weapon in the game, but it’s goofy fun, right?

Once again, the Superball is a world drop, so it could pop up anywhere.
