Although undoubtedly best knows for his role as Ray’s down-on-his-luck brother, Robert in Everybody Loves Raymond, Brad Garrett has lent his voice to many characters over his career. His deep and distinctive voice is perfectly suited to animation, making him instantly recognizable.

For over three decades he has brought to life characters across film and television. In everything from Saturday-morning cartoons to feature-length animated films. Garrett also has the flexibility to play villains, as well as more light-hearted characters, and injects every character with his unique brand of humor. With this in mind here are the 10 best characters Brad Garrett has voiced.

10 Tank

2000’s An Extremely Goofy Movie saw Max (Goofy’s son) begin his first year at college, only for his life to be made more difficult when Goofy enrolls at the same college to earn a business degree.

Brad Garrett lend his voice to Tank, a hulking frat boy who towered over the other freshman and made Max’s situation only worse. Tank is one of the more villainous characters Garrett has lent his voice to over his career.

9 Chug

Featured in the Cars spin-off Planes, Chug the fuel truck was voiced by Garrett. The family-friendly adventure gave Garrett plenty of opportunities to put his comic abilities to good use. And although only a supporting role his voice remains one of the most distinctive and funny in the movie.

Although a spin-off from Cars, Planes was not made by Pixar. The Planes franchise failed to earn the same level of critical praise and is regarded as a pale imitation.

8 Gusteau

Although Gusteau only has a limited amount of screen-time in 2007’s Ratatouille, his presence is felt throughout the film. He serves as inspiration for Remmy the Rat, he is his idol and the reason he wants to become a chef.

Being a french chef, the character showed a different side of Garrett’s voice and remains one of his most unique and distinctive performances to date. Gusteau died tragically of a broken heart after receiving a bad review and is believed to be inspired by a real-life chef.

7 Easter Island Head

Brad Garrett lends his unique voice to the Easter Island Head across the Night at the Museum franchise. The larger than life character is a gentle giant (much like Garrett himself), and although his role is a minor one, he still manages to provide some of the biggest laughs in the film.

The film features an all-star cast including Ben Stiller and Ricky Gervais and remains one of the highest-grossing movies of their respective careers.

6 Bloat

Seen in 2003’s Finding Nemo, Garrett voiced Bloat the Porcupine Pufferfish. The role saw him collaborate once again with Pixar to bring the character to life.

The film takes the audience all across the ocean and on a perilous journey to find Nemo. No locations were more treacherous than a fish tank in a dentist’s waiting room. This is were Bloat and a host of colorful characters are introduced. Their quest to reach the ocean, and freedom, marks one of the film’s most compelling moments.

5 Mamma Aiuto Boss

Studio Ghibli is known for their emotionally rich and beautiful movies, Porco Rosso was no different. The films titular pig pilot, Porco Rosso battle with sky-pirates, and comes up against his greatest threat yet, which requires him to seek the help of a young mechanic.

Garrett lent his voice to Mamma Aiuto Boss in the English dub, a sky-pirate who is constantly thwarted by Porco Rosso and is his mortal enemy. The bearded strong-man serves as one of the film’s main villains, despite this Garrett has plantly of opportunities and shows the characters’ humanity.

4 Fatso

Garrett got the opportunity to play another villainous character in 1995’s Casper. Providing the voice of Fatso, who made up the movie’s trio of bad ghosts. Along with Stretch and Stinkie, they haunted the dilapidated mansion and went out of there way to make Caspers’s life as unpleasant as possible.

Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics Casper went on to become a big success at the box office and grossed more than $280 million worldwide.

3 Krang

The evil alien Krang appeared in the 2016 sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and was brought to life by Brad Garrett. It’s obvious that he is having a blast in the role and he remains one of the highlights of the film.

Although not the first actor to bring the pink creature to life, Garrett puts his own unique spin on the character and delivers one of the most over-the-top and cartoonish performances of his career.

2 Dim

1998’s A Bug’s Life marked the first collaboration between Brad Garrett and Pixar, with him lending his deep voice to Dim the Dungbeetle, a circus bug turned noble warrior.

The film introduced a colorful cast of insect characters that came together to protect a colony of Ants from a swarm of greedy Grasshoppers. Dim features many of the recurring traits of characters Garrett has voices, and like many Dim is a gentle giant.

1 Eeyore

Brett Garrett lends his voice to Eeyore in 2018’s Ralph Breaks the Internet. By no means the first voice-actor to bring the famous Donkey to life, but here Eeyore is used for comedic purposes. His pessimistic outlook used in stark contrast to other more cheery characters.

And although only a small role his deep voice is suited to the character, which he also voiced in Christopher Robin and was released the same year.
