The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild has a giant open world to explore, with many points of interest scattered throughout the map. Shrines are one of the most notable types of locations in Breath Of The Wild because they each have a puzzle to solve and grant powerful rewards. There are shrines in every region throughout Hyrule, so you can discover a lot of them throughout your adventure even if you aren’t a completionist.
There are dozens of shrines to explore in Breath Of The Wild, but the Shae Loya shrine is one of the easiest shrines to complete in the game. The following guide will reveal where to find the Shae Loya shrine and how to solve the puzzle inside it.
Where Is The Shae Loya Shrine?
The Shae Loya shrine is in the Western part of Hyrule, southwest of the Ridgeland Tower location. You can glide from the Ridgeland Tower to travel to the shrine, and there are also many surrounding mountains in the area that you can jump off of for extra gliding height.
There aren’t any enemies inside the Shae Loya shrine, so you don’t need to worry too much about bringing weapons. However, arrows are important for completing the puzzle inside the shrine. Armor, high health, and high stamina also aren’t essential for completing the Shae Loya shrine.
How To Complete The Shae Loya Shrine
The first thing you should do once you enter the Shae Loya shrine is shoot down the wooden plank above the shrine’s entrance. A chest is sitting on the ledge. You need to shoot the rope that connects to the plank to shoot it down, so it’s a good idea to bring extra arrows for this chest.
Next, freeze the boulder using the Stasis ability and use your bow to knock the boulder down the slope, which will activate the contraption that launches you above. Fly above and head straight forward, then land on a platform with a chest. This chest has a piece of Topaz inside it, so collect it before moving on. You can use the launcher behind the chest to launch into the air and return to the other side of the shrine.
Use the launcher again to fly into the air, but this time, turn to the large wall with a locked gate underneath it and look for a switch that glows orange. Use your bow to shoot the switch with an arrow while you’re still in the air, and then the gate below will open.
Now that the gate is open, you can drift back down to the floor and walk through it to claim the spirit orb. Backtrack for the two chests if you haven’t already, since both of them are very easy to loot. You can then exit the shrine and continue on your adventure.
