Brooklyn Nine-Nine has treated audiences to many wonderful stories over the years, and while almost every episode of the comedic series is highly rewatchable, some installments are better than others in this regard. 10 Windbreaker City (Season 2, Episode 15)

“Windbreaker City” details Jake’s post-breakup catharsis, which manifests itself as an inter-agency terrorist training drill. The squad is the only non-federal agency to take part in the drill and is treated as inferiors throughout.

The Nine-Nine do not take this disrespectful treatment lying down, though, and take over the drill, leading to a satisfying sequence of epic action. “Windbreaker City” contains everything that makes Brooklyn Nine-Nine a great show: action, humor, and cohesion between the squad, making the episode an entertaining watch every single time.

9 The Box (Season 5, Episode 14)

“The Box” places Jake and Captain Holt in a textbook interrogation situation, reminiscent of many classic police movies and television shows from days gone by. Any episode that grants Jake and Holt extensive screen time is bound to be highly rewatchable, but “The Box” is particularly special in this regard.

The man being interrogated, Phillip Davidson (portrayed by Sterling K. Brown), gives the detectives a very difficult time, requiring the pair to push their talents to the absolute limits to get a confession out of him. After eleven arduous hours, Jake finally extracts a confession from Phillip, making for an extremely satisfying ending to a highly tense episode.

8 9 Days (Season 3, Episode 12)

There is certainly a lot going on in “9 Days,” with three prominent plotlines feeding into the episode’s overarching narrative. The main plotline details Jake and Holt’s quarantine with the mumps, which provides some of the funniest moments in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The two subplots are equally as entertaining, with Rosa helping Boyle through the death of his dog, and Gina helping Terry to run the Nine-Nine in Holt’s absence.

“9 Days” has great re-watch value because it is jam-packed full of hilarious and heartwarming moments, meaning that fans are bound to spot something new with every viewing.

7 Halloween (Season 1, Episode 6)

“Halloween” is the episode where all the heist madness began, and it was such a hit with fans that there is a heist episode in every subsequent season. While every heist installment in Brooklyn Nine-Nine is great, there is always something special about an original, which is why “Halloween” is one of the most rewatchable episodes in the series.

Having to deal with a bomb plot at their wedding, Jake and Amy undertake some classic Nine-Nine policing to foil the plan, making for entertaining viewing.

True fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will surely never get bored of seeing Jake and Amy’s beautiful wedding at the precinct where their love blossomed from a friendly rivalry to a platonic romance.

5 Suicide Squad (Season 6, Episode 18)

After uncovering Commissioner Kelly’s highly unethical Stingray tracking app), Jake assembles a rag-tag team comprised of The Vulture, Madeline Wuntch, and C.J. to take him down. Although a suicide squad comprised of one’s enemies is highly cliché, Brooklyn Nine-Nine absolutely nails it, giving fans an excellent and intense plotline to enjoy.

“Suicide Squad” is a very fun episode with a great deal of re-watch value, as it is packed with humor, twists and turns, and exciting action, which ultimately culminated with Kelly’s demise thanks to some quick thinking from Jake and Wuntch.

4 Lights Out (Season 7, Episode 13)

Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s season 7 finale is certainly one of the best episodes in the series, and it gets better and better with every watch. The episode depicts a key milestone in Jake and Amy’s relationship with the birth of their first child, all within the context of a citywide power outage.

“Lights Out” is a great episode for all the main characters. Everybody rises to the challenges that the blackout throws at them, stepping out of their comfort zones to help one another. The heartfelt events in “Lights Out” are rounded off with one of the most beautiful moments in the entire series, the birth of Jake and Amy’s child.

3 The Oolong Slayer (Season 3, Episode 4)

“The Oolong Slayer” sees Jake and Holt undertake a secret investigation in an attempt to catch the infamous serial killer named the Oolong Slayer. The episode’s plot fits within every conceivable paradigm of a great cop story, making it highly rewatchable.

The B-plot within “The Oolong Slayer” is also excellent and contributes heavily to the re-watch value. The episode deals with some serious social issues regarding body image and workplace sexism in a light-hearted yet respectful way, which is delightfully typical of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

2 HalloVeen (Season 5, Episode 4)

The fifth iteration of Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Halloween heist is certainly one of the episodes with the most re-watch value, containing all of the twists and turns that fans have come to expect from the squad. However, in this heist, the grand twist was Jake’s marriage proposal to Amy, proving once again that Jake and Amy are relationship goals.

“HalloVeen” represents a key milestone in Jake and Amy’s relationship, and seeing the pure love and joy burst from the pair as Jake gets down on one knee will quite simply never get old.

1 The Last Day (Season 8, Episodes 9 & 10)

As the last ever episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, it is no surprise that “The Last Day” is one of the episodes with the most re-watch value. “The Last Day” functions as a beautiful medley of sentimental brilliance that contains all of the aspects that make Brooklyn Nine-Nine an amazing series.

The episode is the ultimate homage to Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It is delivered in the fan-favorite heist format and is packed with references to classic Brooklyn Nine-Nine moments, which naturally makes the episode a pleasure to re-watch.
