Capcom Announces Yet Another Monster Hunter Digital Event For May

Capcom knows how to keep its fans entertained. The game developer has just announced another Monster Hunter Digital Event for May 26. This is the fifth consecutive month that a digital event has been held for the Monster Hunter franchise and will be the sixth event held so far this year.

The latest game in the franchise, Monster Hunter Rise, has been hugely successful since its release in March. Barely two weeks after entering the market, it sold over five million units globally. Then, at the end of April, the game surpassed the six million mark, prompting Capcom to thank fans by offering a free download containing a variety of goodies to help them in their monster hunting.

In order to maintain hype for the game and keep fans up to date on the latest news, Capcom has been hosting digital events starting before the game’s release. Since January, fans have been introduced to new monsters, maps, and quests and even participated in a Q&A with the game’s director, Yasunori Ichinose. The most recent event in April showcased a trio of returning Elder Dragons, highlighted new Apex Monsters, and announced the unlocking of the Hunter Rank cap.

So what is in store for fans this month? The upcoming event, to be held on May 26 at 7am PDT (3pm BST), will focus on the Monster Hunter Rise Update Version 3.0 as well as the latest news regarding Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. The newest update to Monster Hunter Rise is said to include new monsters and a new ending, which is sure to please fans who felt unsatisfied with the game’s current ending.
