Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang get reimagined as 80s horror icons in a recently launched collection of fan art posters and stickers. Created by famous cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the gang ran in the Peanuts comic strip from 1950 to 2000. With 17,897 strips published in over 2,600 newspapers and in 75 countries, Peanuts is one of the most influential and beloved comic strips of all time. Likewise, John Carpenter’s 80s horror films are some of the most distinguished pictures of their era, and with the increased number of remakes released in recent years, Carpenter’s horror characters have been terrifying an entirely new generation.

Even today, movies and shows based on Peanuts are still being produced and fans have continued to honor Charlie Brown and the gang with their own recreations and fan art. Most recently, an art studio in Scotland named Raid71 produced a collection of prints and stickers titled “You’re a Horror Charlie!” in which Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang meet some of John Carpenter’s horror movie characters from the 80’s. The films featured in this reimagination include Halloween, Escape from New York, They Live, and Big Trouble in Little China. The collection is only sold online from September 24th to September 27th, and one lucky buyer will receive a figurine of Charlie Brown dressed as Ash Williams from Evil Dead.

Raid71 provides a cute, lighthearted spin on Carpenter’s 80s horror icons by merging them with Peanuts characters. Though Carpenter’s franchises and the Peanuts characters are very different, it would be hard to compare which one is more popular. Despite being first released decades ago, Carpenter’s films and Schulz’s comic characters are both still inspiring hearts and minds today, and they show no signs of slowing down.

The description of Raid71’s “You’re a Horror Charlie!” reads: Charlie Vs Carpenter. A funny Mashup of some of the best films from the master of Horror John Carpenter.
