Death Stranding launched on PC earlier this month, and that gave it the sales to recoup it’s development costs (although Kojima still doesn’t consider himself a prophet because his game didn’t still quite as well as he’d expected). The Steam launch is particularly noteworthy for having a sidequest that pays tribute to Half-Life and Portal, as well as a headcrab hat that Sam (Norman Reedus) can wear.

There’s also an Epic Games Store version you can buy with the same tributes, but who cares about Epic?

Although Death Stranding didn’t turn out to be the summer blockbuster that Kojima had hoped, it’s still a critically acclaimed game that tons of people have played and enjoyed. One player enjoyed it so much that she turned her computer into a giant bridge baby tank.

Twitter user Cami Roebuck recently posted pictures of her new rig to social media showcasing her monument to Death Stranding. The case has been painted to look a bit like a cross between a BB tank and those packages that Sam carries across the wasteland of America. The yellow acrylic mirrors the yellow tanks that carry those BT-spotting babies in, while the Bridges logo on the front pays tribute to Reedus’ delivery company.

And of course, there’s the plastic baby sitting on top of the video card inside the case. There was some concern that its proximity to the card might cause it to melt, but Cami assures us that her “little Lou” is in no danger of melting. “It has also been run/done some heavy lifting since she was put in and she’s all good! NO MELTY BABY HERE!!!🧡”

In other Death Stranding news, Hideo Kojima recently sat down with Geoff Keighley to talk about the game’s development, how the game became prophetic for the current COVID-19 pandemic, and how he gets lonely from time to time.

Oh, and how PC is better than the PS4 version of the game since it supports ultra-wide screens.

Death Stranding is available now for PS4 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Maybe Xbox too, someday.
