Dead By Daylight Killer Guide The Huntress

Dead By Daylight is a horror RPG developed and published by Behavior Interactive where survivors are placed randomly throughout a map by a being simply known as The Entity along with a killer. The survivors have to repair generators or find a hatch to escape, and the killer is sent by The Entity with one job in mind, stop the survivors from escaping by any means necessary. There are many killers and with them, many ways to kill or otherwise stop the survivors from achieving their goal.

The Huntress is one of many killers in Dead By Daylight, tormenting survivors with her eerie lullaby, and able to take down survivors from a distance using hunting hatchets. She has many strengths, but some weaknesses. To stop the survivors and please The Entity, there are some tips and tricks one can use. This guide will go through her quirks and how to use them to the player’s advantage.

Dead By Daylight Killer Guide: The Huntress

The Huntress comes with three specialty perks, Beast of Prey, Territorial Imperative, and Hex: Huntress Lullaby. All of them revolve around hunting and tracking down the prey, but each has its advantages. Beast of Prey is particularly useful because with it activated, her lust for the kill is so great that her connection with The Entity is temporarily severed, and with that, her terror radius is disabled along with The Red Stain, which is the red glow that surrounds the immediate vicinity of The Killer. Both aspects are extremely helpful when sneaking up on survivors and being able to successfully stop them from escaping.

With Territorial Imperative, The Huntress is able to track survivors for three seconds after they enter the basement of any map, and she can track them if she is within 32 meters of the basement entrance. The basement often holds chests containing useful items for survivors, making it tempting for them to enter. Once in there, it’s relatively easy for the killer to corner and trap the survivors, sacrificing them to The Entity. While not quite as useful as Beast Of Prey, when used right, Territorial Imperative can cause a lot of damage.

Her last unique perk that’s available on The Huntress’s blood web is Hex: Huntress Lullaby, which not only causes the survivors to suffer from a certain percentage of regression after missing a skill check while healing or repairing but also gains more power each time a survivor is hooked. With 1 to 4 tokens, the time between the skill check warning and the skill check shortens, making it harder for the survivor to pass the skill check. With 5 tokens, no skill check warning is sounded, making it even harder for survivors to pass a skill check. This is extremely useful for stopping survivors from being able to heal or progress in the game and will persist as long as the Hex Totem is still active.

The Huntress is a slower killer so her perks are essential in being able to subdue the survivors since survivors are able to run away and avoid the chase if the player controlling The Huntress isn’t careful. Her lullaby, while helpful in instilling fear and panic in the survivors, can also alert them to her presence, so precision is key. Maps with long corridors are easiest to play when killing as The Huntress, but with her unique perks, the player can dominate any map in Dead By Daylight.
