Destiny 2’s Season of the Lost has given Titans a few new tools to play with. A new Exotic, additional Aspects and Fragments for the Behemoth subclass, and a new Artifact has given way to a whole host of new build possibilities.
We’ll be looking at ten Titan builds in this guide—five for PvE, five for PvP. Each build takes Destiny 2’s buildcrafting to the extreme, synergizing Combat Style mods with certain subclasses to create some truly powerful builds. Cast Thundercrash every minute, become a juggernaut in PvP, and turn Warmind Cells into Sunspot generators with some of these builds.
Foreword
Before we dive into the world of buildcrafting, you’ll need to understand how Combat Style mods work. We’ll be mentioning these mods quite a bit in the guide, and for the sake of brevity and readability, we won’t be explaining what each mod does. If you don’t know how these mods or mechanics work, these guides should help:

DIM links will only show you the mods used in each build. You’ll need to enter stat ranges and Exotic armor yourself to fully replicate each build. Adjust mod recommendations to utilize what’s available to you.
PvP: Shaxx’s Disciple
Why Play This Build?
Titan mains that don’t want to rely on gimmicks in PvP can’t go wrong with this build. This is a simple PvP build that uses Code of the Earthshaker, Charged with Light mods, and good neutral game Exotics to ensure that 1v1 gunfights are as easy as possible. The tweaks to Shoulder Charge in the 30th Anniversary Pack have made this melee type an excellent movement tool, allowing Titans to close the gap faster than ever before. Disorient your targets with a blinding Shoulder Charge, take full advantage of two grenade charges, and crush the opposition with Fists of Havoc once you’re Super is ready.
Essentials
Code of the Earthshaker (Top Tree Striker) is a fantastic spec due to recent buffs. Your Shoulder Charge covers great distances, blinds targets on hit, and you have two grenade charges instead of just one. You have good area denial, agility, and a powerful Super.
Exotic boils down to preference, although there are meta Exotics for a reason. Some great Titan Exotics include Dunemarchers, One-Eyed Mask, and Peacekeepers (only if you’re using an SMG). Peregrine Greaves drastically improve the damage of your Shoulder Charge, but the opportunity cost of using this makes this Exotic less than ideal. The Path of Burning Steps is also incredible, although we have a build focusing more on this Exotic later in the guide.
Use any weapon you like. This build works with any gun, although close-range weapons are recommended so you can capitalize on Knockout’s increased melee lunge range more often.
Armor Stats
Recovery is the most important PvP stat for every build, this build being no exception. Focus on Resilience and Strength next. If you have points left over, put them towards Intellect.

While this build is focused on melee attacks, your grenade is still an invaluable tool. Bomber will ensure that you get your grenade back quickly. From there, use targeting and ammo scavenger mods to gain the upper hand.
Armor Mods (Combat Style)
If you’ve seen PvP builds before, this should look familiar. This mod loadout gives you +20 Mobility, Strength, and grants Charged with Light stacks from Orbs of Power. While Charged with Light, you deal 20% more damage. This doesn’t stack with Frontal Assault, but it does help the consistency of this build. For the firth mod, use a charge-generating mod.

PvP: Devastator’s Wake
Why Play This Build?
Code of the Devastator’s Roaring Flames buff is incredibly powerful in the right hands. Once you get a few stacks of this buff, your grenades and melee ability can one-shot Guardians with ease.
This build takes full advantage of this buff by using Ashen Wake, allowing your Fusion Greandes to instantly detonate on impact and fully recharge if they kill someone. When paired with grenade mods on your armor, you’ll get your Super well before anyone else and be able to wipe entire teams using only grenades.
Essentials
Code of the Devastator (Middle Tree Sunbreaker) has the Roaring Flames buff and a throwable hammer for a melee ability. The goal is to get Roaring Flames x3 by killing enemies with your grenade or melee ability. Once you have all three stacks, you can one-shot Guardians with your Fusion Grenades with ease.
Ashen Wake is required to make your Fusion Grenades detonate on impact. You’ll get your grenade back whenever it kills someone. Since your grenades will one-shot with Roaring Flames x3, you can throw your grenades non-stop.
Use any weapon you like. Since this build is focused on spamming grenades, your weapon doesn’t matter.
Armor Stats
Recovery is the most important PvP stat, so get that to 100 first. From there, focus on Intellect and Resilience.

Double Ashes to Assets is absurd on this build, allowing you to gain your Super in a minute once x3 Roaring Flames is active. Double Bomber mods reduce your grenade cooldown for when you miss a Fusion Grenade.
Armor Mods (Combat Style)
Similar to the previous PvP build, this configuration gives you a massive +20 boost to your Mobility and Strength while granting a 20% damage buff upon grabbing an Orb of Power. The fifth mod is Charge Harvester, causing all kills and assists (even from your abilities) the chance of giving you a stack of Charged with Light.

PvP: Code Of Kintsugi
Why Play This Build?
Support Titan builds typically revolve around placing the Ward of Dawn Super. These builds are typically focused around PvE, but not this one. Thanks to the recent Precious Scars buff, you can play as a major support to your team by providing a massive overshield by reviving your allies.
To further amplify the support aspect, this build uses a Behemoth setup with a Harvest Aspect and Whisper of Rime. If your team is also playing Stasis, they’ll gain HP and damage resistance while you provide covering fire. Regain chunks of health for defeating targets, gain an absurd amount of HP when combat seemingly goes south, and serve as the glue that holds your team together. If you want to support your team in Trials or Comp, this is the build for you.
Essentials
Behemoth (Stasis) grants some incredible neutral-game buffs in the form of stat bumps and passive effects. With our selection of Aspects and Fragments, you have on-demand damage resistance, HP, and a much stronger slide.
Precious Scars got a massive buff this season. It now heals you after a weapon kill, provided the elemental type matches your subclass (in this case, Stasis). More importantly, reviving a downed teammate or being revived yourself will effectively turn you into a mobile Well of Radiance, granting everyone a massive overshield for a few seconds. This completely flips an engagement into your team’s favor, a situation where enemies typically rush you.
Traveler’s Chosen can match your Stasis element after you throw a grenade, and it is a fantastic close-range weapon for shutting down aggressive players. Use Glacier Grenades to close the gap or force enemies to engage at Traveler’s Chosen’s effective distance.
Aspects And Fragments
For this build, you’ll want a mix of mobility and survivability. Any Stasis players in your team with similar Fragments will see further benefits from this build.
Through the use of Glacier Grenades, you’ll be able to create Stasis Shards at will that grant melee energy and healing. Cryoclasm makes them easier to shatter, and it serves as a solid movement skill for when you get rushed or need to push.
Rime and Chains are fantastic together, allowing you to gain 25% damage resistance while near a Glacier Grenade. This stacks with your revive overshield from Precious Scars and can stack with the likes of The Stag. Throw a grenade just before you get a revive to become nigh-unkillable. Break the wall whenever you need a bump to your health total.
Armor Stats
Recovery, Discipline, and Resilience are your most important stats. Make sure your Intellect is at least 40.

This setup allows you to practically spam grenade when paired with Traveler’s Chosen and Whisper of Shards. Remember to use your Barricade often to benefit from double Bomber.
Armor Mods (Combat Style)
This standard Charged with Light setup will give allies Charged with Light whenever you cast your Super. Should your allies have a similar setup, you’ll become Charged with Light whenever they do. While Charged with Light, you’ll deal 20% more damage with all of your weapons. You also have a passive +20 boost to Mobility and Strength.

PvP: Crystalline Behemoth
Why Play This Build?
Behemoth’s identity has shifted from an unstoppable force to more of an immovable object. This spec is much more focused on playing defensive now, using the power of Stasis crystals to shut down aggressive players.
This build takes the defensive nature of the Behemoth to the extreme, utilizing Whisper of Rime and Chains to give yourself an immense amount of health. Enemies will have difficulty piercing your overshield, Stasis crystals, and your Titan Barricades. If you’re a more defensive player that needs a good build for competitive and Trials, this is it.
Essentials
Behemoth (Stasis) is your subclass, granting you a wide selection of Aspects and Fragments to choose from. Use Towering Barricade and Glacier Grenades to give yourself as many defensive options as possible. We’ll cover Aspects and Fragments in the next section.
Heart of Inmost Light allows you to become an overshield-generating machine for you and Stasis allies. If your allies aren’t playing Stasis subclasses, you can use Citan’s Ramparts instead.
Use any weapon you prefer. Weapon choice does not matter for this build. If you want to feel like a true tank, consider using Heir Apparent.
Aspects And Fragments
This build forgoes all movement in exchange for sheer tankiness. You’ll be using Tectonic Harvest and Howl of the Storm. This allows you to turn your grenades and melee into Stasis shards, giving yourself and Stasis allies overshields.
If you couldn’t guess, we’ll be using Whisper of Rime to obtain overshields from breaking Stasis crystals. You don’t have Cryoclasm with this build, so you’ll need to use your uncharged melee and Barricade to break them. Yes, Barricades break Stasis crystals.
If you have a charged melee but want to use a default melee attack, press your Super button. If it’s uncharged, you’ll do an uncharged melee instead. You can also create a separate input for uncharged melees in the options menu.
The rest of the Fragments focus on enhancing your survivability and ability cooldowns. With a 100-point overshield and 25% damage resistance, you effectively become a mobile Ward of Dawn. The entire enemy team needs to team shot you or use Witherhoard.
You can replace Whisper of Shards with Whisper of Hunger.
Armor Stats
Resilience and Recovery are your most important stats, as with most PvP Titan builds. If you can get both of those stats to 90 or 100, invest the rest of your points into Discipline and Strength.

The only mandatory mod is double Bombers on your Mark. This drastically reduces your grenade cooldown upon using a Barricade, something you’re doing to detonate Stasis crystals anyway.
Armor Mods (Combat Style)
Use your favorite charge-generating mod for the fifth slot. This setup will boost your Mobility, Strength, and give a 20% damage buff while Charged with Light—something you gain from Orbs of Power and allies casting their Super with the same setup.

PvP: Ravenous Firewalker
Why Play This Build?
Titans don’t have to use either Dunemarchers or One-Eyed Mask to have great neutral benefits anymore. Thanks to Season of the Splicer’s Path of Burning Steps Exotic, Titans can counter Stasis while empowering their weapons with a massive damage buff.
Since these boots work with any subclass, you can use any subclass that suits your playstyle. Bottom tree Striker is a good pick, especially after the mid-season Stasis nerfs. Equip your favorite Solar weapon, rock a few Charged with Light mods, and prepare to annihilate any enemy that stands before you.
Essentials
Code of the Juggernaut (Bottom Tree Striker) is a great choice here. Frontal Assault, Arc grenades, and Fists of Havoc make for a well-rounded spec built around aggression. You can get away with using any subclass, but we feel this is the best of the bunch regarding neutral game benefits. Behemoth and Top Tree Sunbreaker are also good options.
The Path of Burning Steps is required for this build. These boots half the duration and stacks of Slowed you receive from Stasis users, and breaking out of a freeze will damage nearby foes. Whenever Stasis freezes you, you deal increased damage for ten seconds. Solar kills have a chance of granting this buff as well.
Tarrabah is highly underrated by the community and is downright overpowered with these boots. Land a few hits, unleash the beast, then use your absurdly strong SMG to gain stacks for these boots. With your newfound stacks, Tarrabah’s default mode will melt through enemies like they’re nothing. Unleash the beast again to become nigh-unstoppable. Vex Mythoclast has a similar gameplay loop, granting you a devastating Linear Fusion Rifle mode after two kills.
If you don’t have Tarrabah, Igneous Hammer is a fantastic option that can active Burning Steps’ damage perk. Jotunn, Duality, and Arctic Haze are also good choices. In general, any weapon that deals Solar damage will work.
Armor Stats
Recovery and Intellect are mandatory for any PvP build. Get your Recovery to 100 and your Intellect as high as possible—preferably around 70 or 80. From there, spec for stats that you value the most.

Use targeting mods that suit the weapon you’re using. Double Bomber is recommended for faster grenade cooldowns, although you can replace this with anything that suits your playstyle.

A generic Charged with Light setup will allow for a backup 20% damage boost when your Burning Steps buff expires.
If you’re using Tarrabah, you’ll want to replace either Taking Charge or Charge Harvester with Swift Charge. Vex Mythoclast users should use Quick Charge, as it only requires a double kill to trigger.

PvE: Doomfang Bash
Why Play This Build?
Titans are one of the only classes in Destiny 2 that can still make an infinite Super build. Thanks to Doomfang Pauldrons and Bottom Tree Sentinel, you can stay within your Sentinel Shield Super as long as enemies are nearby. This build further enhances the playstyle with Elemental Wells, Charged with Light, and new Stasis armor mods that allow you to spawn over a dozen Orbs of Power for your allies. Supporting your team has never been so seamless.
Essentials
Code of the Aggressor (Bottom Tree Sentinel) is what you’ll use. Kills while surrounded grant an absurd amount of Super energy, so you’ll want to be up close as often as possible. When paired with Hands-On, you can get your Super charged in just a few melee kills. Once in Sentinel Shield, keep killing targets with your shield throw to stay in your Super.
Doomfang Pauldrons cause Void melee kills to grant Super energy, and it allows you to spam shield throw while in your Super. If you want to stay in your Super, these gloves are needed.
Any weapon works with this build. Monte Carlo and Traveler’s Chosen are great options for maintaining melee charges while you’re out of your Super.
Armor Stats
Discipline is a great stat to focus on for this build. You’ll be getting your Super back so quickly that Intellect won’t be too helpful.

You can obtain an element-free Hands-On mod from this season’s Artifact, allowing you to pair it with Power Preservation. This allows your Super to generate far more Orbs than normal, close to around a dozen per Super.
Armor Mods (Combat Style)
Grab any Elemental Wells you find to gain Charged with Light stacks. When your HP gets low, you’ll gain an additional 50% damage resistance for around 15 seconds. Once your Super ends, throw your grenade to get around 25% of your Super back immediately.
While two different Charge-consuming mods might seem bad, this setup creates so many Elemental Wells that it’s hardly a problem. If you are having issues with charges, consider using Well of Tenacity instead of Protective Light.

PvE: Warmind’s Protector
Why Play This Build?
It’s tough to talk about Titan builds without mentioning the most played spec for raids and pinnacle PvE content: bubble Titan. Or as it’s known in-game, Code of the Protector. This build is fairly simple but is highly effective. Warmind’s Decree allows you to spawn Warmind Cells with your abilities, which can be further augmented through the use of Combat Style mods.
Essentials
Code of the Protector (Top Tree Sentinel) gives you access to one of the most powerful Supers in Destiny 2: Ward of Dawn. This bubble grants a 35% damage boost for a long duration and keeps you alive during tough encounters. You also have a good defensive melee attack and grenades. If you’re playing GM Nightfalls, consider playing Middle Tree Sentinel instead to take full advantage of Banner Shield’s block.
Crest of Alpha Lupi seems suboptimal at first glance, but this Exotic comes in clutch for solo content. A large health chunk upon casting a Barricade can save your life. Generating four Orbs of Power from Ward of Dawn also assists allies with getting their Supers charged, further enhancing this build’s support capabilities. If you’re running Middle Tree Sentinel instead, Ursa Furious is a good pick. Of course, Helm of Saint-14 also works if you’re playing a raid with a less experienced fireteam.
Anything that spawns Warmind Cells will work for your weapon of choice. Any Seventh Seraph or IKELOS weapon will work. Weapons that deal Void AoE damage also work. Some good examples are Deathbringer, Graviton Lance, Ruinous Effigy (Orbs), and Black Talon. We recommend Deathbringer if you want a good DPS weapon that can spawn Warmind Cells. For Primaries, the Seventh Seraph Officer Revolver and IKELOS SMG are fantastic picks.
Armor Stats
Resilience needs to be 100, as this allows you to spawn Titan Barricades more often—giving you a panic heal when gunfights go south. From there, Discipline is your next most important stat.

Since you aren’t weaving abilities as much with this build, armor mods aren’t as vital. Use mods that enhance your ammo economy and damage resistance. For your Mark, double Bomber is a fantastic option for getting your grenade back quickly, although you can drop one Bomber for an Artifact mod if you’d prefer.
Armor Mods (Combat Style)
These mods cause your Warmind Cells to provide a ton of utility:
- Enemies take 10% increased damage
- Stacks with other debuffs
- Enemies deal 50% less damage while near a Warmind Cell
- Stacks with DR mods
- Destroying a Warmind Cell heals you and nearby allies
- Stacks with other debuffs
- Stacks with DR mods
If you are playing Grandmaster Nightfalls or trying to solo flawless a dungeon, consider replacing Power of Rasputin for Cellular Suppression instead. This will cause your Warmind Cell to blind every enemy nearby when shot at, effectively disabling all non-boss enemy AI for a short duration.

PvE: Empowering Howl
Why Play This Build?
Tweaks to Stasis Aspects and Fragments in the 30th Anniversary Pack have made the Behemoth a joy to play in PvE. Diamond Lance is finally viable, Whisper of Chains is great for endgame PvE content, and chaining your abilities together has never felt so fluid.
This build turns the Behemoth into the tanky, Stasis-shattering juggernaut it was always intended to be. Thanks to Heart of Inmost Light and Elemental Wells, you’ll be able to throw out a flurry of Stasis with little regard for cooldowns.
Essentials
Behemoth is your subclass, granting access to various Aspects, Fragments, and cold-themed abilities. Aspects and Fragments are covered below, but we’ll be focusing heavily on shattering Stasis crystals and gaining various benefits for doing so. Use Glacier Grenades.
Heart of Inmost Light is absurdly strong after the changes it received in the 30th Anniversary Pack. Its stacking regen effect is much easier to activate, and the regen boost is very noticable in PvE. Remember to constantly weave your abilities into gunplay to make full use of this build.
Weapons with Headstone work well with this build, taking full advantage of the Aspects and Fragments that you’ll be using. Eyasluna deserves a special mention for its ability to roll with Headstone and Unrelenting simultaneously.
Aspects And Fragments
It’s all about Stasis crystals for this build. Spec for the following:
Your grenade and melee can now spawn Stasis crystals, each spawning Stasis shards when destroyed. The following Fragments are used to take full advantage of these Stasis crystals and shards:
Whisper of Fissures and Shards will make each Stasis crystal deal absurd damage, capable of one-shotting red bars in Master content. Each crystal destroyed—which can be spawned from your grenade, melee, or Headstone weapon—will hasten your grenade cooldown and spawn Stasis shards. Grab a shard to gain a small overshield. And when things get tough, leave a Stasis crystal active to gain 40% damage resistance while near the crystal.
Armor Stats
This build doesn’t need any specific armor stats, so spec for whatever you’re most comfortable with. Discipline is a good starting point to speed up the lengthy cooldown of Glacier Grenade. From there, focus on Recovery to minimize downtime in combat.

Unfortunately, shatter kills don’t count as grenade final blows for the purposes of Ashes to Assets or similar mods. We’ll only be using Grenade Kickstart to shorten our grenade cooldown even more. Beyond that, use any mods that you like or are meta for the given season.
Armor Mods (Combat Style)
This is a simple survivability setup that uses Charged with Light and Elemental Well mods. Every five seconds, a Stasis shard you grab will grant x2 Charged with Light. This can then be used to gain 50% damage resistance when your shields break, stacking multiplicatively with Whisper of Chains. So long as you keep shattering crystals, you’ll be practically immortal. Should you wish to hasten your ability cooldowns even more, replace Supercharged on your Mark with a Stasis Mark that has Well of Restoration installed.

PvE: Ballistic Thundercrash
Why Play This Build?
Code of the Missile (Middle Tree Striker) is one of the most aggressive subclasses in Destiny 2, allowing Titans to disintegrate enemies by launching themselves towards foes. Using Combat Style mods and the Cuirass of the Falling Star Exotic chest, you can turn virtually every PvE enemy into dust with a single Thundercrash Super.
To help you Thundercrash as often as possible, this build uses Energy Converter to recharge most of your Super. Hands-On and various melee mods will allow you to crush enemies with Ballistic Slam, helping you recharge your grenade and Thundercrash Super. Use your Super, immediately throw a grenade, then use your Ballistic Slam on some enemies to gain over half of your Super.
Essentials
Code of the Missile (Middle Tree Striker) is needed for this build, granting you access to the Thundercrash Super and the Ballistic Slam melee ability. Turning your body into a missile is the main goal of this build.
Cuirass of the Falling Star is incredible for making your Thundercrash Super deal an immense amount of damage. If you’re OK with quick swapping to this Exotic, you can run An Insurmountable Skullfort when your Super isn’t charged to have constant melee charges.
Monte Carlo is incredible with this build, gaining a massive 65% damage buff when you kill a target with Ballistic Slam. Kills with this Auto Rifle will grant melee energy as well, feeding into the gameplay loop of this build nicely.
Armor Stats
Discipline is the most important stat on this build, as your grenade needs to be off cooldown when you use Thundercrash. Make sure your Intellect is at 40, and try to get your Strength stat to 70. Since Intellect has such extreme diminishing returns, we don’t recommend investing more than 40 points in that stat.

Grab Hands-On from this season’s Artifact to save on mod space and open up the elemental affinity on your helmet.
Armor Mods (Combat Style)
This build uses Charged with Light mods to maximize the uptime of your Ballistic Slam and Thundercrash abilities. Try to activate Heavy Handed’s second effect by using an Arc mod in the same armor piece that Heavy Handed is slotted into. This effect lets you have near-infinite Shotgun, Fusion, and SMG ammo with this build—so long as you’re fighting enemies while surrounded.
If you desire, feel free to swap Taking Charge with Sustained Charge. You can also replace Heavy Handed with a second Sustained Charge if you’re exclusively using Monte Carlo and aren’t interested in infinite Shotgun or Fusion Rifle ammo.

PvE: Heart Of Sol
Why Play This Build?
This build was inspired by Ehroar’s Elemental Well Siegebreaker concept. We’ve taken the basics of that build and tweaked them to allow for more wanton destruction.
Elemental Wells have unlocked a whole new level of strength for Bottom Tree Sunbreakers, providing a degree of damage and ability uptime that no one could have imagined just a few seasons ago. Constant ability spam, never-ending Elemental Wells, two stacking damage buffs active 24/7, and a field of Sunspots are what await.
This build crashes Astral Alignment. Be courteous to other Guardians.
Essentials
Code of the Siegebreaker (Bottom Tree Sunbreaker) is one of the best specs in the game. Your abilities heal on kill, spawn Sunspots that grant a 20% damage increase while enhancing your ability cooldowns, and you have access to Thermite Grenades.
Path of Burning Steps is a great pick if you want to use your weapon more than your abilities, granting a 35% damage buff after a few Solar kills. If you prefer to spam abilities, use Heart of Inmost Light. You can spam abilities pretty fast already, but this will make your cooldowns effectively non-existent. This Exotic also buffs the damage of your abilities, making it great for harder content.
Use any weapon you like. Virtually any weapon works here. Explosive weapons and Solar weapons typically work best. Some good picks include Sunshot, Ticuu’s Divination, Sunshot, and Vex Mythoclast.
Armor Stats
Discipline and Strength should be around 70 to gain a fast base cooldown rate for your abilities. From there, spec for Recovery and Resilience. Be sure Intellect is around 40 points so your Super doesn’t recharge slowly.

You’ll have no trouble spamming grenades with this setup. Each grenade kill will now give Super energy. Withering Heat is fantastic for tough content, causing all of your Solar abilities to debuff Champions by 30%. You don’t even need Particle Deconstruction for this build; just throw a grenade.
Armor Mods (Combat Style)
Solar weapon kills, your abilities, and Sunspots can now all generate Elemental Wells. These wells will then give around 18% of your grenade back alongside 10% melee and Barricade energy. Grabbing an Elemental Well will also grant a 25% damage buff to Solar weapons that stacks with Sun Warrior or Path of Burning Steps. You’ll also gain near-permanent health regeneration with this setup, allowing you to play aggressively in solo Lost Sectors and dungeons. Paired with the Champion debuff from Withering Heat, Destiny’s toughest enemies don’t stand a chance against this build.
The Warmind Cell loadout allows your Warmind Cells to eliminate entire waves of enemies on their own, healing allies and creating Sunspots while you have the Sun Warrior buff. If you’re taking this build to harder activities, swap Rage of the Warmind with Warmind’s Protection. You’ll need a Void chest piece to do this.
