Dr. Disrespect appeared during an episode of WWE Now and told interviewers that he was looking for someone, but who?

The news and drama that surrounds the lives of the world’s most popular and well-known streamers is very entertaining. Certain Twitch channels have become non-stop reality TV shows at this point. Most of what we’re seeing is pretty entertaining, but there is a fair bit of bad in there too. The amount of animal abuse that finds its way onto Twitch streams never ceases to amaze us.

As entertaining as streamer drama almost always is, it’s usually confined to the parameters of Twitch, Mixer, YouTube, those sorts of places. Viewers probably wouldn’t expect to see their favorite streamers pop up on say, WWE television. Well, that’s exactly what happened on Friday, October 4, 2019, right before WWE SmackDown went live for the very first time on FOX.

In preparation for the show, a couple of interviewers were outside the building filming an episode of WWE’s YouTube series, WWE Now. That’s when Dr. Disrespect made his grand entrance, complete in his familiar regalia including headset and signature shades. Both interviewers looked genuinely shocked to see him, and also a little bit intimidated, and eventually asked what he was doing there/what he wanted.

Disrespect’s response was short and sweet, “I’m looking for someone.” The assumption was that the streamer would then head into the arena and be involved in some sort of backstage segment on SmackDown proper. That never happened, so three days later wrestling fans and gamers alike still have no idea who that someone might be. There are some front runners though, with the number one spot being occupied by Xavier Woods.

For those who don’t fall into the area on the Venn diagram where wrestling fans and gamers meet, Xavier Woods is also known as Austin Creed. When not competing in the ring, Woods/Creed has his own very successful YouTube gaming channel, UpUpDownDown. It’s probable that Creed and Disrespect have met before, and now seems likely that the pair will be crossing streams at some point in the future.
