DrLupo is preparing to break yet another fundraising record by putting on an ambitious 24-hour charity stream on behalf of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The stream will occur on December 21st on Twitch, starting at 1pm EST, and is in collaboration with State Farm, who will be joining the stream with a $25,000 donation.
This isn’t the first time State Farm has donated to DrLupo’s charity streams; They sponsored him as of this January and have been shelling out $10,000 donations during the streamer’s charity events – most notably the record-breaking GuardianCon stream.
Over the summer, DrLupo streamed during the last leg of GuardianCon, an event created by Destiny content creators. The resulting amount from the stream was a staggering $920,000, just shy of his 1 million dollar stretch goal – which would have resulted in DrLupo doing the Pon-Pon dance (as made famous by Ninja.)
Over the summer event, big names such as Ninja, Annemunition, and TimTheTatman came in with large donations, even DrLupo donating a massive $50,000 for the cause. This time around, it will be exciting to see who donates and just how far the stream takes things. Considering he raised almost 1 million dollars in under 5 hours, the potential for another record-breaking charity stream is huge during this upcoming 24-hour event.
